Speaking to an affectionate crowd of Log Cabin Republicans on Saturday evening, Meghan McCain ridiculed the party her father headed this past election, declaring that "old school Republicans" were "scared shitless" of the changing landscape.

I'm no republican thats for sure but Meghan McCain is making a lot of senses. If you watch Fox News, they are flipping out.

(And if they found out you were a regular poster on a porn board they would have your picture up at the security desks with a caption saying, "Under no circumstances is this person to be allowed entry").

The obama, soros, geithner & emanuel brand of governance is nothing more than a scheme that's similar, if not an exact copy of the old, tired and unimaginative, "Mobilization of the Oppressed''. It's the worst possible trick in the book because the "poor and oppressed" don't rise in stature as you might expect, it's the middle class that gets chopped at the feet, so, in the end, you're left with wealthy dictators an helpless, dependant, better off dead in a mass grave people(serfdom).

If they can take solace in one thing it's the fact it could have turned out much worse. The last election cycle wasn't kind to them, but with all the stuff that has happened the last decade, and the amount of people pissed off I think they avoided the worst case scenario. It's not much of a consolation but it's better than they deserved, and if Obama screws up enough maybe everybody can get pissed off at everybody and they will be on equal footing in the future.

Its not just the old school ones who are worried.As I posted about yesterday moderate republicans like Christie Whitman and was mentioned in another thread with McCains daughter are worried also about if they don't get away from the more extreme right wing elements of their party they are doomed to the political wilderness indefinately.A battle is brewing/on now really between these 2 camps for control of setting the future of the party.Till they get that settled and only also if the more moderate element wins out they are a permanent minority party IMO.

True. This is what it all boils down to. The middle class is almost dead. How many people have lost nearly everything in 401k. It's so tragic. We now have retirees coming out of retirement just to pay the bills. It's so tragic. It's so like a slave state now, in a lot of ways.
