Onions or Garlic?

I absolutely love both, I put onions on everything! Garlic too
I got to have onions on my burger's, brats, tacos, frito pie's, you name it, even salads.
Garlic is as common as salt in my house, on everything but cereal
I also notice when starting many dishes, the main ingredients involve Onions & Garlic.
Such as Stir Fry's, Soups or Stews, and Sloppy Joes.
I know I'm a fanatic anyone else out there got love for the stanky? :dunno:

I like onions but sometimes onions don't like me (acid reflux). So for me its garlic.

i like em but im currently on a garlic freeze. im surprised to hear myself say that maybe im tired of it for the time being. the only way i really use it these days is in my chinese cooking.

of course, chinese cooking doesn't really cook the garlic. its very finely minced then added at the very end then tossed in the dish. its like a sin to brown the stuff in true chinese cooking but they do add a lot of it, depending on the dish. brown garlic is just icky to me right now and i used to use the hell out of it.

im a chinese food snob and have been a personal chef in my free time for a while now so i have a lot of food experience in preparing and eating. i just prefer it in its barely kissed by heat state.

in my opinion, a burger is not a burger without a real tomato and fresh onion on it. i feel bad for the people who are pussies and get them without.

Onions, garlic AND chillies ..... yum! keeps the blood clean, the lungs open and the bowels regular.

I have a huge pot of chillies and garlic chopped up together, and always have onions in stock and, usually in a sammich.

And, I have no breath probs, thank you very much .....

Garlic overpowers the flavour.

Onions are a flavor inducer for beef--esp. roast. Because of their powerful flavor, they also compliment other, more bland veggies in a salad. Garlic is a spice effective in certain ethnic dishes as Italian, Greek and Asian. My preference is determined by what I am cooking.
