So I have a POF account and I've gone out on a few dates with some guys off there but there hasn't been anything serious out of it.. What I don't understand is that I get on average about 15-20 messages a day.. A majority of them say "hey what's up" when it clearly says on my profile not to send just a hey what's up message because they're boring and generic.. The rest of the messages are "Damn u iz sexay mommi u needa get at mi!" or "holy shit your tits are huge! What size iz dey?"
Gaajmkfisbebeib! Arghh! Do guys really think that girls are going to respond to that?
So my questions for my freeones guys are:
1) Have you tried online dating & what's your thoughts on it?
2) As a male, what on earth makes you think it's a good idea to send messages like the one above?
3) Just for fun if you're bored write a little example of what your online profile would say if you had one lol

I always tried to be funny or compliment their profile when I used POF. It usually worked. They appreciated the fact that I actually read their profile. It's refreshing to know people will respond to and appreciate a friendly hello and a bad pun instead of some leet speak nonsense and comments on tit size and what not.

I think most guys just browse pictures, find a girl they want to fuck and hope for the best. It's sad to see.

i have met a few girls from back in the a/s/l days of AIM. i was on the computer all day then and a lot of girls hit me up randomly. i never EVER ever approached any girls through messenger except for one, they all found me randomly.

a couple of em turned out to be pretty awesome girls. dated a few of em, some more serious than others. one turned out to be my best friend til this day after our years of "seeing" each other.

No, but I can see how things are moving more and more towards it though. People are busier and busier these days and trying to find someone you can click with isn't easy and takes time. We use computers for everything else so why not for this? You put in what you like and you let the computer find your match. Beats wasting time with a girl and finding out you have nothing in common other than just an initial physical attraction.

My guess is that it is dumbass guys trawling for dumbass girls who respond to that kind of stupidity. They probably send out tons of messages and really only lead to hit one. It's the shotgun approach to online dating.

I have tried it. I think it sucks for the most part....I might sound rude/offensive here, but I'm going to honest. Most of the girls on POF are overweight single mothers who have strict demands concerning the guys they date. Why would I want to date a fat woman with kids who is going to complain about be not having a car when I can meet sexy girls at my school who are very nice and don't judge me? You know what I mean?

There are also some sexy girls on POF (like you ). Some of them are really nice (like you lol), but a lot of them have personality issues and it's clear to see why they are on a dating site. My main problem is that when I'd get a good conversation going with a girl, they'd just drop it and stop replying. That's why I quit bothering with those sites. There was one girl I met on there that was pretty cool, but I lost contact with her. If I get in touch with her, I might see if she wants to hang out sometime.

Oh, I understand that! I'm just saying, I have two major problems with it...

1) If they are going to try online dating, they shouldn't be so picky. Some of them aren't picky, but most of the ones I saw were.

2) They always have on their profile something that says "DO NOT message me looking for sex!" Yet their profile pictures are highly focused on their tits. I'm not saying you can't have simple cleavage, but don't make your breasts the focus of the pic if you don't want a bunch of hard-on guys messaging you.
