Overweight?

I'm curious about something and having a major in Psych, I was just wondering what everyone thought....guys and gals.

In concerning dating,

Would you go out with someone who was overweight?

Depends on how overweight and the person. It's a minus, but not necessarily the be all, end all.

It really does depend on what you mean by overweight. However there isn't any thing wrong with a plus sized woman.

"Overweight" covers a lot of....ground. Obese, no way. Slightly soft, maybe. (I could use the project... )
My track record says no, but that wasn't intentional. I never thought, "Yeah, I need an overweight girlfriend" or "No way, I don't want an overweight girlfriend."

I have been with a couple "overweighters", one actually a little more than I liked, but unless they are like 100 lbs over, I'll probably still approach them.

Sure. But as BNF said, the term overweight does cover a lot of ground. Chubby is fine. I've dated chubby girls and I see nothing wrong with it. But there's a point where having too much extra body fat will tend to make a woman unattractive. So the answer then becomes no, I would not date a woman that I did not find attractive.

Nope!!! For some reason it really bothers me that over weight people are always drinking diet pepsi as they eat about 5 plates of food. Here's some advice if you're overweight:
1. instead of always looking for the parking spot up front, park in the back and walk
2. eat smaller meals, instead of your pets
3. Get up off your ass and get it yourself
4. stop making excuses for yourself and just do it
5. put down the Twinkie and candy bar
6. Eat some fruit!!!

Since your reffering to entertainment and overweight people, i think back to Denis Leary, who claims that people who are overweight claim it to be a disease/virus as an excuse.

First of all, you don't know what I do and do not consider to be "attractive" in a woman.
If you think I'm being shallow because I would not date a woman I found to be unattractive (in my own opinion), then what do you think about your own comments?

Been there, done that. I'm only 150 lbs. I once dated this girl who was probably a bit over 200 lbs. Though she was nice and a nice friendship developed from there, I could sense she felt self-conscious about the fact that she was with a guy who weighed a lot less than what she did, so because I could tell she wasn't comfortable with me, it wasn't that nice of an experience. So I probably won't do so again.
