Longest scientific study involving 175 couples followed for 10 years. 1 partner HIV positive 1 partner HIV Negative. The majority had unprotected sex over that 10 year span. How many infected their partner? HMMM, you would think lots right?

The study is 14 years old
The couples were followed over six years not 10
The rate of attrition was so high, the report's authors admit they had difficulty formulating usable statistical data
The looked at male to female sexual transmission only
They specifically state the vast majority of couples were either abstinent or used condoms.
They specifically state those couple uniformly did not practice the highest risk factor for male-female transmission - anal sex
Only 46 couples made it through the full six years

It's an interesting report (if you actually read it properly and understand both the epidemiological and medical data).


But you have grossly twisted both the methodology, the baseline data, the results and conclusions.

You want to read something that actually meets the criteria of the claims you make, read Peter Duesberg.

You started this thread again, after your last thread on this same topic was closed. That thread made it to ten pages, and everyone just railed on you and provided many good points about your arguments and sources being highly suspect.

This is not a group of trolls trying to suppress anything. This is a group of rational people pointing out that you are just plain fucking wrong. This has been pointed out before. When you get backed up into a corner, you provide a multi-hour youtube video that is not worth watching, and then say something like, "If you haven't watched the video, your opinion doesn't count."

I don't want a video, I want some peer-reviewed articles from credible sources that prove this to be true. Can you please provide those for us. If not, I'm going to say that you are totally full of shit on this topic, and you're just trolling by restarting a thread of this sort.

This is a thread about a specific study called the Padian Study.

I have never made reference to it ever before.

It is a very amazing study that I just found out about so I thought I would start a thread about it and hopefully have some real discussions about the study.

But it seems the handful of trolls doesn't like debate, only to slander and denigrate someone who references anything controversial.

In other words over the SIX years of the report and the totality of the 46 couples who made it through, most practiced a form of safe sex during the time of the reports (by its own admission) statistically small window of useable data gathering

I have no actual problems with the report. I think Duesberg is a genius.

My problem is your twisting of concrete statistical data and black and while assertions by the report's authors, and your errors of fact.

NO HIV TRANSMISSION, and YES THEY WERE HAVING SEX REGULARLY and near the end of the study the majority were having UNPROTECTED HETEROSEXUAL SEXUAL INTERCOURSE!!
