So, I live right next to the only convenience store in my city that doesn't sell Sam Adams or anything like it. I was just there looking for something I can stomach and I come across this Peroni stuff. There was a label calling it "Italy's #1 Premium Beer", so what the hell. BTW...6.99 a sixpack.
I'm halfway through the first bottle ....not bad so far. Kind of has a Heinekin thing going, but not as much. The aftertaste is very short, which I'm liking. I can already tell that it's a bit of a belchers best friend (lots of carbonation).
It's not a "hoppy" beer, like a lot of our microbrews have become. I like hops, but I don't need a Sam Adams-type strength in every beer I drink. I can see myself buying this more as the weather heats up.
I'll give this beer an 8.5 in the summer and a 7.5 in the winter (when I switch to porters).
