Why doesn't PETA spend more of its resources on developing technology to communicate with animals. That way, when a bat swoops in on an NBA game, the PETA member assigned to the game can tell the bat how to leave the arena safely and avoid being treated so harshly.

According to this ESPN article, the bat was released outside by a stadium worker and flew away. That's why Manu had to get rabies shots - they couldn't test the animal to see if it was infected because they had already let it go. If the bat was okay, I don't see how PETA can complain. But then again, they bitch about everything. I'm sure they'd be much happier if the bat had just spread rabies to people and killed them instead. At least the animal would have been spared any maltreatment.

Peta is too extreme.They would have animals treated as though they were the equal of humans.I'm not for using animals in delibertly cruel ways and don't like to see them threatened with extinction,but thats cause I think we need to keep nature in some sort of balance for our own good.But breeding them to eat them and using them for fur and leather is very OK by me.

And while I haven't watched the vid,swiping at something like a bat or bird or bug near ya is a reflex action IMO.

Any animal not endangered by our use for those kinds of things like those breed in captivity ,minks, cows,pigs,chickens etc is good.

But ones like Lions and tigers etc. who are endangered people should protest the use of them for fur.Conservation is good ,going to the extreme of ethical treatment, meaning man must treat them on par with humans is ridiculous.People count more any day of the week,right?
