Just picked up a PS3 today and have been messin around with it. Downloaded the home thing and I gotta say its pretty fuckin stupid. What the fuck is the point? :dunno:

The only worthwhile part of Home is the Siren room/area. It has a small game you can play, but it gets old quickly when you know what to do. Still, I managed to get a good half an hour out of it.

its supposed to be a social thing,talk to guys posing as chicks to try to get you to go to there crib for text chat sex leading you into trouble,bowl with friends,movies and shit.....in other words like Legz said,it sucks.

concept is good but impossible to pull off cause of the goons that are on there starting trouble. I actually had some interesting music based conversations on there with some people when it first came out. I havent been on there in many months and dont care to.

At least its free for the folks who actually like it. Doesnt matter to me either way,its all about games.

Yeah,I really don't get it.I tried it out and got pretty bored kinda quick.The only thing that I found remotely interesting was in the bowling alley arcade,they had that game Echochrome.I played that for quite a while.

At this point it would probably serve Sony best to just pull the plug on PlayStation Home and use those resources to improve their overall server capabilities.

I was playing Tekken 6 online,and the server is pretty much for shit.MAG beta that was out last week had it's issues as well,but I must say that I have yet to have one problem on MAG now that I'm in the IGN tournament,but that's mainly because there are only a handful of people online for that game now.

So if they did that and implemented a cross chat like XBox live has,and keep it free,then I think you would have a real winner.

Instead of buying shit for your apartment and clothes and stuff, they should hook up with Amazon, and have actual shopping. It would be sweet if you could buy/rent actual movies in the theatre too.

I haven't messed with Playstation Home since I got my PS3 the first week of October. It's total bullshit and there's no point to it. At least the 360 and the Wii let's you take the avatars into games.

If the servers are crap you have to blame the developers of the game though instead of Sony since the game companies host their own servers compaired to the Xbox where Microsoft controls the servers.

Actually Sony is the one to blame if the servers for MAG are shit. Zipper Interactive is a Sony development company but you are right about Tekken 6. Namco-Bandai is to blame for that one.
