Hitler wasn't for personal liberty and limited government and he certainly wasn't a christian (ask Dietrich Boenhoeffer). The nazis were steeped in the occult.

No. The original usage of the terms was during the times of the French revolution where the "right" and "left" were correspondingly "pro-establishment" versus "anti-establishment". Modern conventional wisdom stipulates that "right" is basically conservative and "left" is basically liberal. Based on the clinical definitions of "liberalism" and "conservatism" you could therefore never think of Nazism as being anything other than "right" even though, under the original meanings of the terms, Nazism would certainly qualify as being anti-establishment. Interestingly, aside from the socialist nature of the Russian economy, there wasn't anything "liberal" about the Soviet Union under Stalin's rule either. It's one of the reasons I dislike labels like "left" and "right"....they are so easily represented as something they really aren't.

The Left is traditionnaly anti-war, favors progressive values and internationalism. Hitler was Pro-War, favored conservative values and was a nationalist.
