Porn Film Studies Class?

Apparently, UCSB (in California for those that are unaware) offers a film studies class in XXX porn. Here's a couple of stories I found on it: the first is about guest lecturer Steven Hirsch (from Vivid Video), and the second is about guest lecturer, actor and director, Sean Michaels.

Would you take this class?

Hmm, i think that would be an interesting class to take. I am interested in the adult movie industry, not only for obvious reasons, but because it seems like such a unique and fascinating way of life. I, personally, can't imagine doing what they do. I'm sure it would be fun to have sex with some great looking women and get paid for it, but i'm sure it would be hard for me to do something like that on camera and on cue. Plus the shame that can come from it if the people you know find out about it.

However, i have always been interested in it. I loved "Boogie Nights" when it came out because it gave a glimpse of what the industry might have been like in the 70's, and the consequences of living such a life. I always tune in to special "20/20" or "Dateline" specials when they deal with the adult film industry. I would really like to see a well done, perhaps independently made documentary or film on the industry. I would definitely check it out. So, if i went to UCSB, i would certainly like to see what the instructors have to say. I'm sure that class will fill up quickly.
