You'd think that doing time zone calculations would be pretty simple.

it is just look it up online and not worry about doing the calculation

I had to make a script that handled conversions from UTC to local time without using on-line resources. Had a library to do that with, but damn, it really took some time until I found the right way to use it. Feel kind of stupid now.
