Anyone's reply to this allegation...

not at all, but it makes me wonder if you actually read the Threads in question....

If you havent, then check them out... then maybe you will understand my stance on the matter.:)

Hmmm.... 2 days and nothing. Well I believe I have come to a conclusion on what could be going on behind the scenes. This thread is still around, so apparently it isn't causing trouble. However, with the lack of mod/staff/admin posts, I would say that either they are trying to let the thread go away, or are awaiting or coming up with the correct thing to say in this matter. :dunno:

Maybe if we flame someone, that would get some attention from the mods... :D

I'm just joking btw. ;)

I think we should be free to talk about religion- so long as no one starts a thread just to criticize and say inappropriate things. So I guess the real question to everyone is, can the board members be mature enough to carry on discussion of religion without it degenerating into offensiveness?

Good point. You would figure mature members could do so. But I geuss with so many differing opinions and cultures of members, that it is quite easy to argue, even over simple things.

Announcement: If the threads in "question" as infered by jdb67 so happen to have been:
http://board.freeones.com/showthread.php?t=65133
http://board.freeones.com/showthread.php?t=65135
http://board.freeones.com/showthread.php?t=65136

then spare us your Plant-plagiarisms, as YES, indeed, I had "checked" out this "Axis of Evangilism"--and did so well enough before 02-16-2006, 08:45 AM (the time/date of the initial post of this thread, as made by AmericanHarley).
It should also be noted that not once in any of these short-lived threads made by this now-banned member did I submit a post of my own. Why? For lots of reasons, primarily because the "nature" of the subject matter did not appeal to me, as well as the fact that I felt unqualified to objectively comment on any of the aspects within. In essence, yes, I did read all three of the threads in "question,"--(though not thoroughly, as again, the subject matter did not seem worthy of my interest) and yes, I chose to leave them alone--however, by no means would I ever suggest that everyone else should do the same, with these threads or any others. And it really makes me wonder how many other members shared these sentiments and forsake this "unholy trinity" in pursuit of that which they found more to their preference, as I am certain this is a universal practice within this message board.

Prime example: I know of one member in particular who initiates a plethora of threads that receive virtually no replies! And why are no replies submitted to this "member's" threads? Because no one else is interested in them, that's why! (I won't go into details, or reveal this "member's" identity, but more pictures of his avatar can be found here.)

If the topic of the thread doesn't interest you, or even if it offends you, leave it alone, and go somewhere else. Politics. Sex. Popular culture. Life-styles. Nascar. Yes, even Religion, or the Great Pumpkin! If the thread is not for you, extend the courtesy to others by supressing your call for a "close" to the thread in "question"--don't forget, Adolph Hitler was big on "closing" things that ill-suited him--and simply, and unobtrusively move on. From a personal view point, most of the top "viewed" and "posted" models listed on this board (no need to mention names) quite honestly do nothing to arrouse my interest, but you'll never see DrMotorcity calling out to "teacher" for these threads, beloved by the majority but of little or no interest to himself, to be "closed," and their authors "bannished," "exiled," "censured," etc.

Remember, us Americans can and will take everything you say and hold it against you.
Gee, and all that began out in Coyote Country, didn't it now? Doesn't make me wonder...

I love missing a thread and then reading the whole thing. It's great to see what everyone thinks without your opinion butting in. But I do have one thing to say to you Poggy1

I was waiting to see if that thought ever occured to whoever was actually interested in an answer. Why not just PM the Mod who closed the thread to attempt to find out what his reasoning is, instead of all of this speculating? Makes sense, no?

The thought entered my head, but as shown by the responses of others, I wasn't the only one interested.

Now why can't an answer be given?

Well the question is not why did you close those threads, or why did you oust religion. It is, is religion allowed as a topic of discussion? An open question that any mod/admin/staff member could answer. From what I have been told, situations like the usage of blanket warnings are done to show that there is mutual feelings among the mods and that it isn't just one acting out. I wondered if this was one of those situations.

I could always start a new thread just asking if religion is allowed to be discussed, w/o using set examples of ousting the topic.

I've forgotten what the outside world looks like!
AmericanHarley makes an excelent point here. Dude, YOU RAWK!!!
By the way, I hope that I don't get banned because of the bow-down emoticon I put, you know, cuz they might think it's a religious emoticon or something.

I can set my own custom title!
They is still another option you haven't used Harley.Start a thread on something religous and find out what happens!
If your that interested to see if it's allowed or not.

Nah, nothing that interesting is going on in the Religious world to make mention of it here. I geuss, as I've said above, I'll just have to start another thread w/o using examples. But the again, after getting no answer, and losing interest, I may just say Fuck It.

You didn't follow the whole thread then did you.It changed and got a side subject as well. With that all my posts covered both parts of the discussion.

I am making this my final post as I've said all I need too on the subject.

Your the second person this week trying to tell me I'm wrong because a American says so.

First I have nothing against America or any other country in the world.I'm sure it's a great place to live.I also understand people loving there country and liking to defend it.So as I said to the other member this is aimed at you and no one else.Just because a American says something doesn't make it law.Common Sense is a big phrase and can but interpreted in many ways. The way I meant as you seem to have missed it is this-
We as adults don't need to be told every single thing. As experence should tell us what would be good and what would be bad.

This discussion is between individuals, not between one consortium of individuals from one nation angainst those of another! And it really makes me wonder if some maligned, ill-perceived (if not outright imagined) notion somehow may have unshakably taken control of your rationale incititing you to suggest that there exists some cross-Atlantic rivalry (out of the lingering insistance that there is an old score to settle, still unresolved to the satisfaction of many even twenty-two decades later) that is what has founded your campaign of disparagement against the initiator of this thread. I support the initiating of this thread and share the views of the person who had so initiated it, based on the content presented within, not because the initiator and myself are citizens of the same country! Yes, even if the by-line at the top of this thread had read "OrientalHarley" or any other variation that the mind may conjure, I would support it just as ardently.

Your inference that such nationalistic and xenophobic sentiments exist on this international message board is an insult to all members throughout the world, it is inflammatory in intent, and what is far worse, it is off-topic!
Too bad an American had to let you know.

'No comment' as I said I was done on this subject. So you'll have to find something else to debate on.
