When I was in Texas in 1999, I drove my uncle 1970 chevelle ss 454 ls6. Very brutal car fitted with the m22 rock crusher transmission, I also raced against modded supras and stangs with it. The car was fast enough to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 4.5sec. The manual transmission was very brutal but very fun too. Even by slightly pressing on the gas pedal, I was making burnouts  Every time I was in Lausanne visiting my other uncle and since 1998, I drove either his 1960 Imperial Crown Southampton Le Baron Sedan which he sold in 2000 and drove his 1969 charger r/t powered by a crate 528ci hemi. Despite its size, the Charger r/t is very manoeuvrable, comfortable and tractable around town. The car I used and use to drive habitually was my parents polo match II which is quite and economical around town. But my best driving souvenirs are the charger with which I reached 145mph in the night and with a 4 speed gearbox and the chevelle with its bad beasty temper. The Charger r/t had a somewhat much better engineered chassis than the Chevelle ss because sway bars are bigger and engine mounts are somewhat more solid. Brakes were BUDD 4 piston disc brakes on the Charger r/t which offered better braking than the BENDIX which were on the Chevelle SS. I don't drive that much nowadays, public transportation is more economical and less stressful but it will surely never replace a good session of muscle car or big block powered full size luxury sedan driving.
