Remember Your first car

My first car was a 1983 Chevy Cavalier station wagon. Ah the memories I have riding around in that piece of crap. The shocks on it were completely busted, so any bump that I hit, I would bounce for like 200 ft.:1orglaugh

You should've kept it. It is probably still worth a pretty penny regardless of condition.

LOL....showing my age here I guess but I bought the car for $20 in 1970. It was a heap....body all rusted out and the engine burned more oil than gas. But hell it ran great (that old Chevy 283 was damn-near indestructible). I junked it less than a year later when it finally threw a piston rod. I never even considered fixing it up because it wasn't worth shit back then. Instead, I bought a '65 Chevelle Malibu (now that was a helluva car!) that was exactly like this one pictured except I had a set of Highjackers on it with Thrush Pipes and chrome-reverse wheels. That's the car I should have kept!!!

Ahhhh....the good ol' days!

:D

When I was in Texas in 1999, I drove my uncle 1970 chevelle ss 454 ls6. Very brutal car fitted with the m22 rock crusher transmission, I also raced against modded supras and stangs with it. The car was fast enough to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 4.5sec. The manual transmission was very brutal but very fun too. Even by slightly pressing on the gas pedal, I was making burnouts  Every time I was in Lausanne visiting my other uncle and since 1998, I drove either his 1960 Imperial Crown Southampton Le Baron Sedan which he sold in 2000 and drove his 1969 charger r/t powered by a crate 528ci hemi. Despite its size, the Charger r/t is very manoeuvrable, comfortable and tractable around town. The car I used and use to drive habitually was my parents polo match II which is quite and economical around town. But my best driving souvenirs are the charger with which I reached 145mph in the night and with a 4 speed gearbox and the chevelle with its bad beasty temper. The Charger r/t had a somewhat much better engineered chassis than the Chevelle ss because sway bars are bigger and engine mounts are somewhat more solid. Brakes were BUDD 4 piston disc brakes on the Charger r/t which offered better braking than the BENDIX which were on the Chevelle SS. I don't drive that much nowadays, public transportation is more economical and less stressful but it will surely never replace a good session of muscle car or big block powered full size luxury sedan driving.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
In 1996 I got my first car, a 1985 Plymouth Reliant. It was pretty durable, but I had to floor it to get up hills sometime. The first car I bought myself is my current car, 1999 Dodge Intrepid.
