Rep Recieved

Out of interest, on the rep received part of a persons profile, what is the difference between a green symbol and a gray symbol?

I've had green and gray reps off people who have commented positively on some of the links I have posted but I presume a negative rep would be red? Can anyone help me out on this?

Cheers

After digging a little deeper I've found the answer to my question. For anyone else wondering I found a great explaination:

First there is the Green or positive; the green reputation point is a positive mark usually award by one member to another member when the first member posts a message that is favorable. Green Rep is always equal to your total Rep Power.

The other type of reputation mark is a Red or negative mark usually given by one member to another member when the second member is offended by what the other member has posted on the board. Red Rep is always equal to half your total Rep Power.

There is a third Grey, but it is earned when a member who has no Rep Power gives you Rep. That is to say that they have Rep points which is added to your total rep points, but they have no Rep Power, so they cannot give Green Rep.
