True and that brings me to my next point. That threat to shut down the government was like Joe Besser threatening to give you such a pinch. An inconvenience and pain in the ass to some. Vacation plans, delayed pay checks, applications for licenses to pile up. Nothing going to really harm anyone in the long run. The congress knew this but still used it as leverage toward winning nothing. Did anyone actually think that Obama would blink and hand Obamacare back to the congress? And to hang the debt ceiling out there as a secondary scare tactic? Please, the USA government will pay their bills. It may be late but everyone will get their money. No shortage for doing business with USA.

We can discuss the interests passed onto us and our kids but we have already had that issue. It still isn't being dealt with. Come on conservatives in congress, Put together some fucking plans. We didn't learn that Obamacare was crafted from Hillarycare? We've kicked that can down the road for much too long. When 2014 comes it's going to be law and paid for. Too late to yank it out of the budget. Gather your private care providers to restructure your rates and sell them. Let the strong survive. Will they have a strategy to compete under these new rules? Put up or shut down. I do believe that the private sector have better solutions. It's time for them to get off of their asses and deal with situation. Sure it is expensive researching and developing health solutions. USA does that better than anyone. With the money and time given to them during the past few decades it's time to trim some fat. Be aware that pharmas do donate much of their expensive medicines and procedures to those that can not afford. Good for them. Very noble but let's do it for more than PR purposes.

My dear departed was kept alive for several years with the thanks of doctors and whatever paid for her $1500 scripts. Not to deny the developers of their research dollars invested, but how long should they go along with that price? It's formulated, approved, and can be produced in quantities. Let the price drop and do your business on volume. Don't let the fucking government step in and start regulating more. Regulate yourselves and keep paying dividends to those invested in you.

No, no, no. You're starting to get me wrong. I understand paycheck to paycheck. 15 days late for a bill is not that big a deal. Sure that is a long time not knowing when your next paycheck will come in. Then again we should have at least 5 days of food in our house before starvation.

My point was that the shutdown was simply a threat that inconvenienced a few but blown up into a national issue. We both know that these people would get by. Yet those that rubber stamp for political purposes have shot themselves in the foot. Their Tea Party will continue to vote for them but anyone in their district that had those jobs should be tossing them out. It was not necessary on any front. A shitty move on the right. I am so fucking disgusted of my values being hijacked by those that... can't work the system, have no plan, use air time to simply scream into any camera without a solution. I am so frustrated seeing my values and votes going to people that can't draw up a solution. Or don't want to draw up a solution just to plan for their next re-election.

Color me surprised that Mariah would have a victory lap thread about the deal. The last time I checked the spending cuts from 2011 were still in place. A real victory would have eliminated them too. Anyway, maybe this GOP fuckup will usher in a Dem congress for Dear Leader's last 2 years in office and then he can complete the final phase of his fundamentally transformation of America. A Dem congress would love to ram through amnesty and sweeping gun legislation before Barack and Moochelle pull up stakes.

well the problem with the libertarians is first they dont have an electable candidate. I liked a lot of what Ron Paul had to say until I really listened. When he said who cares if Iran gets nuclear weapons he lost me and just about everyone else. when he said we shouldnt have stop signs or speed limits he made himself look crazy.

The American opinion of the republican party is at an all time low. They made a huge ordeal that cost the country over $24 BILLION all under the cloak of less spending lol. They accomplished NOTHING that they set out to accomplish with this. Obamacare is still as it was. And who's favor did the Sequester come out in? Cutting long-term unemployment isn't exactly a winner for anyone other than the rich and how much of the population do they represent? Yeah I thought so.

I registered for the program yesterday and the site worked perfectly for me. I was offered a policy that is better than my current one that I pay almost $400 a month for with Florida Blue (blue cross' new name) for $294 including dental. How is that a bad thing counselor?

Mariah obviously something is wrong. The Democrats secretly do not want the poor to have health insurance because most poor people do not have internet access or a computer. They also do not have access to transportation to go to a library. Then the evil politicians require them to produce a photo ID to get a library card to use the computer to start with. This disenfranchisement of health care rights through the use of technology and identification requirements will not stand.
