Richard Kuklinski aka Iceman

I find these interviews very interesting.
Richard Kuklinski was a murderer.
There are at least 2 movies about him to be released/made soon, one with Mickey Rourke.
I think James Gandolfini could portray him well

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I saw 2 separate 1 hour interviews, conducted by Dr. Park Dietz. They were very good...chilling actually.

Very interesting story. This guy started killing when he was 13 and never looked back, he was a ruthless man no doubt.

yeah I saw these a few years ago. very interesting interview. amazing how he's so detached and has nearly no emotion about the things he's done.

I think it was on HBO that I saw a documentary about this guy several years ago. Yeah, a really chilling psychopath... or is he a sociopath? I get the two confused.

Anyway, I agree on Gandolfini. I'm not sure that Mickey Rourke can pull it off (assuming one has seen the actual guy). I think Gandolfini would be a great choice. With the goatee, there's even a strong resemblance.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
Mickey Rourke???? WTF!?! And Michael Shannon as Richard in the other film?????? With James Franco as Mr.Softee??? Who is casting this garbage?

Yeah Gandolfi does look like him quite a bit, sounds like him too, plus he's such a great actor he could pull it off real good.
I think he's kinda semi retired though.

And phychopath, sociopath, the line is blurred.
this guy was just born with some warp and his parents formed it into what he became
his father actually killed his (richards) brother I believe during one of his beatings.

c'mon, don't judge mickey and shannon too fast........and that shannon is a pretty good actor, even though he doesn't look like kuklinski that much you gotta admit that scene I posted above looked prettty good.

you will never find find an actor who talks like iceman, who does the clicking from his mouth.

as much as i would like to see this film. i would much rather no film. because noone could come close to iceman.

his character goes deeper then looks.

by no means am i saying al pacino could play ice man. but you would need a charater actor at al pacino caliber that looks similar to iceman. and they dont make him like pacino.

plus ice man looks nothing like looked in those interveiws when he was younger.

I wouldn't say never for the clicking. After seeing Colin Firth play a stutterer so well. I'm willing to bet a speech coach or someone along those lines could perhaps work something similar into someone's speech.

well luckily there are some really good actors out there.

reminds me of an interview with michael caine I once saw.
The interviewer asked him what he thought of dustin hoffman actually running around the block to get tired and out of breath before filming a famous scene in the marothon man.
Caine was like forget that, just spray some water on me and I'll ACT like i'm out of breath.......thats why they call it ACTING.

well i hope they do get someone to play a good iceman. but im being realistic.

i just think theres a certain way ice man talks and reacts that cant be copied.

plus i think a movie would be a waste. 30 years over a 100 murders. should be a show.

plus ice man was 6 5 300 pound blonde monster.

kind of wish i never actually seen him in pics and those interviews just heard the stories.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
I saw those interviews as well, very chilling and interesting.. I am addicted too stuff like that.. I often ask myself if I could do stuff like he did.. he kind of didn't have time to think about getting into the trade of killing.. when we look @ it in an adult perspective we say we could never do that.. but if you started doing that stuff @ 13 cuz you were around it, and it was a way to get $$$ in your pocket, and it made you popular, very well liked and appreciated by grown men in the mob who (in your eyes) always had $$$, guns, girls, jewelry, and cars, and made you feel welcome like you belonged with them and treated you like family, and it gave you a sense of protection, and people showed you respect and feared you @ the sametime.. hell, you never know.. if you or I were around that or thrown into that situation @ 13 those interviews could very well be about me or you!! I myself thought that these interviews were excellent. :2 cents:

I have no idea what actor I would pick too play Iceman in a movie about him, that would be a hard choice, I would have to think hard on that..
:dunno:

he first murdered because of being bullied. he didnt even mean to kill him. but thats what made him notice he would never be pushed around again.

if i was alive back in the 50's and was bullied from everyone from parents to other kids. i probably would kill.

he first killed for fun. before the contracts. mastering his trade.

yeah I saw these a few years ago. very interesting interview. amazing how he's so detached and has nearly no emotion about the things he's done.
The only time he breaks down is when he said he regrets what it did to his family.
How would you like to be the undercover cop who befriended him and got all the information about him, knowing that he could kill you at any time.
