excellent. he should have done that a while ago... you don't throw money at the same bunch of retards that got GM in this mess in the first place. now he just has to get rid of the rest of upper management and hire someone from toyota.

But Namreg- don't you see the problem? What business does this idiot president of ours have in meddling with PRIVATE industry at all? GM were fools for taking federal money.

The federal government can't manage or run itself efficiently. It needs to get the fuck out and stay the fuck out of private businesses.

well he doesn't have any business meddling; BUT they asked for bailout money and that money comes from taxpayers. thus i think obama is obligated to make sure the money is well-spent, anything else would be irresponsible. and yes, i know, governments rarely do responsible things with taxmoney so it's nice to see he realised that wagoner was part of the problem and asked him to step down.

I don't know why he would just do this. If he's going to demand Wagoner step down he should be demanding that from a lot more people at the executive lever there as well. It would take a lot more than that. It makes me wonder if he's just getting some ammunition for when he gives more money to GM where he can go to the American people and at least claim he made them do something.
