Ridge is of course a RINO or "liberal" even..(no real republican supports a woman's right to choose).

Just like all of these other damning books about the Bush administration..these people are publishing whores. (Presumably unlike idiots like Coulter, Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly who these same skeptics swear by.:1orglaugh)

You would think at some point all of the water swallowing and toting and hypocrisy would get to be shameful...but that would presuppose hypocrites have a conscience.:dunno:

This was fairly well documented a long time ago I beleive.Saw Keith Olbermann once go through how all so coincidentaly the alert status went up at what seemed the most oppurtunistic times for Bush and the republicans and then went down.

Was it illegal, probably not since it would be almost impossible to prove.It will just be part of Bush's legacy as one of the worst presidents ever who really had very little scruples about what he was willing to do.Fearmongering for political gain,lying about WMDs and outing CIA agents.He got his war ,how'd that work for him lol.

I have said a couple of times that while what we actually knew about then was terrible in of itself that as the years went on I wouldn't be surprised to find that a lot more nefarious stuff went on that even all the bad things we knew about, which were at that time already getting near uncountably numerous. That administration definitely has an adequate claim to being the worst one this country has ever had. It might be the most corrupt thing our country has had on that scale in anything close to any of our lifetimes. I don't know if our country will ever recover from all the bad things that went on on during it.

With the way that the GOP has treated and trashed this guy the last decade...I have no problems with him taking some shots at Dubya.

He really should do a Spector and turn his back on the GOP...Ridge seemed to me like the kind of Republican that you could actually work with to get something done. There aren't any of those sorts of Republicans left anymore...

were you shocked when the terror-level was raised? It was as predictable as the tide. Our government and those that comment on it use fear as a tool for control. Obama has showed us the system is too big for any one person to effect change. So much rhetoric, so little done to make the middle-class burden lighter.

I'm sorry but you got to be a complete tool not to have thought that they were using that stupid "Threat Level" to struck fear and gain political point. What were we suppose to do when the threat level hit orange, duck tape our windows, ha! And the threat level just happen to come a day before the election, complete coincidence. Remember when Fox News had it on their screen 24/7, what a joke. Conservatives are a cancer to society.

This is why the two terms set up isn't very good. It would be better to just make it 1 term of 4 or even 8 years than to split it into two terms because every president, doesn't matter that it is Bush, is going to make decisions in year 3-4 of their first term that will help them get re-elected. It wastes time that other things could be done.
