Well yeah. The bull shark has, for a LONG time, been known to go many, many miles up rivers, including the Ganges, Mississippi, and others. And it's a vicious beastie, which can switch between salt and fresh water with no trouble at all.
It's one of the only species that can do that, and it is an incredibly dangerous shark. It's the one thought to have been the actual killer of Mattawan Creek in 1916 (Not a Great White, as legend has had it).
6-8 feet is the upward range of the bull shark.

Is this the one with the old possibly British guy who actually fishes for...fish and catches them to show they are real, unlike the the stupid Bigfoot and Loch Ness and Jersey Devil fake shit. It is! Thanks for the link to make sure. Yeah this show is quickly becoming an interesting watch. Oh, and the girls he was interviewing in Germany were pretty hot too. Funny how German guys have a thick accent while the women don't, from what I've seen that is.

I find sport fishing to be very barbaric, even when the fish is released, it is still hooked. How would you like to have a hook stabbed through the side of your face and then dragged up by it into a choking environment, dangled about for a few moments and then have it ripped out? I guess you'd be thankful that you had the mercy of being allowed to go about your business and not left there to die flopping around asphyxiating. Assuming that you didn't swallow the hook and have it tear through your lungs (gills for the fish).

I don't think that bears really eat all that much salmon, they mostly just eat from people's garbage cans. I also doubt that they swipe most of them out of the river, they probably just wait until they die after the spawning cycle, it's a lot easier.

^^^Really cannibalism is ok, and fishing for "fun" is taboo? The River Monster dude is probably doing it for educational purposes, show people that huge fish do exist and will only get bigger as their food sources grow which can someday include adult humans. Anyway back to people eating people is not cool, makes me wanna have a tuna casserole.

I don't believe I have ever seen that show in particular. but I am amazed by all of the fascinating animals in the universe, that is indeed referring to both Land and Water creatures, monsters, & animals, all are splendidly awesome, though I believe there are allot of water life that we still have little to NO knowledge of or about, that in itself is an amazing adventure to live and devote one's life's work, mission, or hobby to explore. simply awesome. :2 cents::hatsoff:

why not? what's the difference? they are made out of the same "stuff" as fish are. I didn't say that I condoned murdering people, just that It's Ok to eat them...if you think it's Ok to consume dead flesh .it's the same thing as eating any other animal.
