Steele in "articulating" his case against Obama's healthcare reform doesn't really know which insurance company covers him. Waveringly he claims he has Blue Cross and Blue Shield...(keep that in mind now)

Here's the funny part at the Blue Cross/Blue Shield website the "welcome" message in big bold letters prominently on their website says, (I'm not making this up) "Be a part of the solution. Support health care reform":1orglaugh

While I agree with you on Steele stepped in it I think your post points to a much bigger issue.That is why people like Blue cross/Blue shield might be supporting "reform".Its because they and the other insurance comapnies are licking their lips at the prospect of it being mandated that everyone have insurance as they see that as windfall for them.I am trusting that obama and the dems know what their doing and will offer plans from the govt that the for profit high overhead private companies cannot compete with and will eventually all be driven out of buisness.Thats the only way we will ever see real big cost savings which their is no reason we should not be able to realize,in fact for our economic future its imperative we do.We pay now double what any other country does.We should and can cover everyone in america at much less then we spend now like the rest of the world,just gotta get those corporate types out of it and go to single payer.
