my preference goes to Al Pacino, he is more turned into the 'dark side'
(Scarface will stay as one of the best ever movies in my heart)
but Robert De Niro is also a great actor, I can't deny him.

Ouch! Uh-hhhh...I think Pacino reached different levels than Deniro does. But lately, he seems to just rely on his "Hoo-Ha" character. Ya know, the one with all the balls and bravado.

It is very close, I will go with Robert De Niro though. He is better I feel in the respect that as a actor he has shown a broader range of acting skills. Abel to excel in all. Pacino also is a great actor, I think has just limited himself in picking rolls.

De Niro get's my vote. I love Pacino, but IMO he almost single handedly ruined 'Heat' with his ridiculous overacting. De Niro saved that movie.

IMO, The better actor is Paccino, but the best parts most recently have gone to DeNiro. I say that Paccino has shown himself as the better actor because he actually has played some different characters and transformed himself. Whereas DeNiro has been playing the same Psycho since TaxiDriver. But recently he has begun to strech and do comedy and showing more of his talent.
At least he is no where close to the all time one trick pony Jack Nicholson.
