But Luxford, an art history lecturer at Scotland's University of St. Andrews, says a 23-word inscription in the margins of a history book, written in Latin by a medieval monk around 1460, casts the outlaw as a persistent thief.

"Around this time, according to popular opinion, a certain outlaw named Robin Hood, with his accomplices, infested Sherwood and other law-abiding areas of England with continuous robberies," the note read when translated into English, Luxford said.

They're basing this conclusion on a mere 23 words that were scribbled in the margin of a pre-existing book? HAHAHAHAHA, that's hilarious.

When I was in middle school, I had to take Spanish in 7th grade. I hated Spanish, so I spent my time drawing moustaches and weiners on all of the pictures in the book. By the end of the semester, I had drawn on literally every single page in the book. I wonder who got the book after I was done with it. HAHAHA, I hope it was a girl who was really afraid of penises.

Of course a monk would say that. They aren't supposed to support stealing, only begging for money under the threat of eternal damnation.

I don't remember what show it was, but I totally believe Robin Hood was real and the proof they showed was a tombstone engraved with the name Robin Heud and there was a poem before the name.

And written by people he was stealing from. At the time, the church basically robbed from the poor so the bishops could live like kings.
