Friday on my mind

Pain heals, chicks dig scars, Freeones lasts forever
A true pioneer in the development of the electric guitar like Leo Fender was.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
It's a sad day for music.

I need to clean my screen!
I'm very proud to say I got to meet Les, shake his hand, and chat with him for a few minutes a couple years ago. Then later that night I say him play with Jack Bruce, Adrian Belew, John Mayer, Dave Ellefson, and a bunch of others.

It was a great day.

Bye, Les. And thanks.

an interesting tidbit about les paul - when he was quite young he broke his arm/wrist/hand. when the doctor was setting it, he said to paul that he would have limited movement, so he had to pick a position that would be conducive to what he did for the rest of his life. les paul demanded a guitar at that moment, and the doctor set his hand while he held his arm in guitar picking position.

quite a commitment. makes one wonder if he'd have been so motivated otherwise.

he was amazing.

I'm so great I'm jelous of myself.
I hope his contribution as a musician is remembered as much as his contribution as a guitar engineer
