Cumming to a town near you.
who here has ever had an std or has one and how did yo or how will you tell your other half.

i have an std and i am dating a girl that i have not told yet we have had sex but i was not broken out at the time herpes to be honest it sucks and i am freaked out. so is there anyone else that has had this same experience?
this is embarrassing so please no judgeing :(

You MUST tell your sexual partner(s) if you know that you have an STD, and you HAVE to wear a condom. If you don't have medical insurance, there are free clinics out there that can help you manage or get rid of the STD.

I got an STD once from the ONE time I had a one-night-stand, and trust me, it wasn't fucking pleasant feeling like lava was coming out of me when I urinated. :thefinger  Thank God for antibiotics! LOL It's long gone and cured. :nanner:

I'm sorry, but I will Judge.... I cannot believe you had sex with a woman knowing full well you have an STD and didn't warn her ahead of time. Even if you think you're "not broke out" you may just be but cannot yet see it... You have no right to endager her physical welfare like that!! She has a right to make an informed decision about sex with you, NOT kept in the dark!

Pretty silly looking for sympathy under these circumstances. One doesn't have to be "almighty" to show a little consideration for others. What you did is pure selfishness, you didn't consider her feelings on the situation at all. If she's smart, she'll dump you once she finds out.:thefinger

hold on a sec sounds like hes scared, and that is a thing that makes people not react the same way they would in any other situation. i once had sex with a girl that never told me anything about an std turned out she had one luckly for me i didnt get it but once i found i was a little pissed. but now i have found out through the grapevine that she gave it to a guy and he gave it to a girl that i know, small world i know. i think that if it were not made out to be such a big deal then it would be easier to talk to a person about. and how close you are to that person, my wife and I talk about everything, it takes a strong bond to do that. so lets not judge. I know its hard not to but we gotta start somewhere right.

I'm sorry, but I don't see being scared as an excuse NOT to tell your partner you have an STD before having sex with her. This is a sensitive issue with me, because I was in the same boat as you and had a GF not tell me she had genital warts... this was even after I asked her straight up. She knew she had them, but was "too embarassed" to tell me. Well I'm sorry, avoiding embarassment is no justification to put your partner at risk. Would I have had sex with her if she told me the truth.... HELL NO. Guide's GF may have refused to have sex with him had she known about his STD.... or she may have gone ahead with it.... bottom line, she has a right to be told first and make an INFORMED decision. Remember... STDs can't be cured. You're passing on something another person will carry for the rest of their lives. No one's pride is worth more than that!

It depends on the type - some STDs can be cured through antibiotic treatment; thank God that's the kind I got in my idiocy of the one one-night-stand that I've had.

Excellent post, though, TJ. I concur.

cabey

I'm always ready to have sex!
This happens all the time in the real world thats the risk you take and not just men with women but the other way round too.

You don't need our advice, your course of action is obvious, get checked out and sort the problem out! sure its embarassig getting your cock out to a nurse or doctor but if your gonna be a man and have sex then be a man and get the std sorted. simple:thumbsup:

and i want to meet ANY MAN in person who tells his g/f he has an std:rofl:
sorry but in the real world and not the virtual its never gonna happen, thats life people i know it sucks but deal with it:2 cents:

Thomas is absolutely correct. I had a misfortune of catching STDs once or twice when I was younger and dumber, but I ALWAYS took care not to transmit it to any other partner. Even if there is a SLIM chance of having something I would rather keep my tool in my pocket.

This much I know about herpes: they are notoriously hard to get rid of. I mean actually get rid of, not suppress the symptoms into near oblivion. So, yes, Thomas was right.

Duly noted. I apologize, overreacted. Brought back some unpleasant memories.

Of course, herpes is rather harmless, albeit unpleasant, if treated in due time. The problem is that the next guy this girl gets to meet might reject her solely on the basis of her medical history. I know I would, however nasty this may seem. I for one do not want to face the risk of catching that nasty stuff.

Worse still there are things like AIDS and Syphilis and these do not "break out" earlier than at least 3 months. And there is no conclusive test for either of those to tell 100% if you have it or not if test is taken within roughly 6 months of intercourse.

So there you have it. The reason for my agitation

The best advice to anyone out there is to ALWAYS bag up when having sex with a new partner, until you both get into a stable relationship with each other.

Please don't ban me!

Amen.

Guide, you gotta tell her. It seems to me that you know it's the right thing to do and maybe you're feeling a little guilty that's why you came here asking for advice.
She could find out even if you don't tell her. I bet you don't want that.

The best way to say something that's hard is to just say it: "honey, I'm sorry, chances are I gave you an STD... LAWL C.U. "
