yep. oh course. the internet didnt really become a household thing until i was about a sophomore in high school. before that, we did things the old fashioned way.

we did, around that time, get a de-scrambling box. it would unscramble all the pay channels and yes, i got to enjoy a couple moments of playboy. (its good when you dont know anything else i suppose).

the only problem was it would sometimes stick and it was a tell tale sign someone was watching a pay channel. i just said, i was skipping through hbo.
