Senator McCain: Of course Palin can beat Obama

pool_hustler

Be careful what you wish for, it might come true!
On the other hand the republicans have NOBODY at this point. Everybody that has popped up is either worse, and/or is so bad they are a complete joke.

Yep.
Latest Gallup Poll shows Palin is actually a close second to Romney among GOP voters. Good grief ...

At this point I have a better chance of being elected to office than Obama does at winning a reelection. He has proven to be just as shitty as I predicted he would be. For those of you Bush haters, I would rather have him in office then this ass clown.

:dunno:

I'm much MUCH better off than I was during Bush's last year.

And that guy Osama Bin Laden, the guy who murdered 3 thousand innocent americans, the guy Bush said he didn't care about anymore......he's dead now, and I'm very happy about that :) I'm glad Obama picked up the ball Bush so idiotically fumbled.

Death-Proof-69

I changed my middle-name to Freeones
time to fire EVERY politician currently in office, erase all the laws and start over again i'd say...that's just my thoughts, not that it makes a difference :dunno:

I'm not a palin fan here by any stretch, but who has the greatest number of recored gaffes, the charismatic teleprompter directed obama or palin, the ditzy pro life housewife?
.... OK, throw in bachmann too, what the hell...

So it's palin and bachmann vs. obama... nobody is sacred here,
have at it.... Ready? On your marks, get set ....GO!

obama visited all 57 states of America .... chalk it up!

There are candidates. There are a lot of qualified candidates despite what you think of their character. :2 cents:

Watchu talkin' bout Jane?

Fox is part of the American media, right? They seem pretty obsessed with her. Enough to pay her. That seems pretty obsessive to me, to pay for someone to talk on your programs, then to contractually be the only outlet allowed on an "educational"* bus tour. I guess that would make Fox leftist?

*I find this one of the true ironies. That she calls this an educational bus tour. Yeah. Someone is being schooled.

No, the left is far more obsessed with her. I don't even want to get into it.

You know, even watching a train wreck gets boring after a while.....and frankly, that is what the entire American political landscape has become.

Actually, I think the election is, at this point, Obama's to lose. There simply isn't a better candidate available at the moment.

And I must take issue with you about Bush being better. It simply isn't true.

Obama is going to lose.

First of all, McCain only lost the popular vote by 6 %. Obama will have a completely unacceptable and pathetic record on the economy. The electoral college is shaping up very well for the GOP. The democraphics of blacks, hispanics, and the youth vote wont be there for OBama the way they so extraordinarilly were in 2008. THe likely GOP winner will be far better than John McCain and will have VASTLY more management experience than Obama on election day 2012.

Im not sure how Obama can be seen as better than Bush. I believe the highest unemployment rate for Bush was 7% or so, Obama has had an unemployment rate of virtually 10% for 20 STRAIGHT MONTHS NOW!!!! George Bush never ran up deficits that caused Standard and Poor to threaten to downgrade our AAA credit rating. When Bush had $4.00 gas, he had 5% unemployment. When Bush had 7% unemployment, he had $2.00 gas. Obama has given us $4.00 gas at 10% unemployment!!!!

Every single foreign policy measure that Bush has beeb criticised for (except enhanced interrogation) has been continued by Obama - Guantanimo Bay, military tribunals, Iraq, Afghanistan, patriot act, etc. Obama tried to resist many of these things in the beginning, but he succumed to REALITY.

Michelle Bauchman an intellectual light weight? You do know she is a tax lawyer right?

A tax lawyer? Is she? She attended a (make believe) "law school" linked to Oral Roberts Universty, which either was not fully accredited or lost its accreditation, to get her JD... and I wasn't aware that William & Mary offered an LL.M. degree in tax law for U.S. based attorneys.

William & Mary Law School:
Our LL.M. Program is designed for individuals who have received legal training outside the United States and would like to expand their knowledge of American and international legal systems.

So, since only foreign students are able to take part in that program, there's something fishy about Bachmann's supposed LL.M., if she claims she got it from W&M. Perhaps we need to take a closer look at Michele's birth certificate. She must be foreign born. She might be a light skinned Kenyan... who (secretly) worships Allah!!!

William & Mary is a fine, fine school. Which makes it all the more strange that someone as (obviously) limited as Bachmann could even get in the door... unless she was carrying a mop and a pail of water.

According to Bachmann, "Hoot and Smalley" were Democrats and it was FDR who supported their tariff bill. I don't know about Hoot and Smalley (or even who they were - never read about them in any of my Econ classes), but both Smoot and Hawley were Republicans, and it was Hoover who signed that bill into law. Maybe the "FDR" that Mickey Bachmann was talking about was Fredrick David Robinson (or some other dude with those initials), but Franklin Delano Roosevelt opposed the law and signed the bill which killed it. With the loss of James Traficant, Michelle Bachmann is easily the most gaffe prone, if not the goofiest member of Congress now. I don't know what her IQ is, but there is no doubt that the woman has IMMENSE problems keeping her facts straight (much like Sarah P@lin). Does that point to an intellectual problem? Possibly, but maybe it has more to do with undiagnosed mental issues. I'm not qualified to make that call. I just know that she's a whack job with fuzzy academic credentials.

The woman has something like 20 children , 13 of them adopted.

That's very nice. But I'm really not sure what that has to do with her level of intelligence... or lack thereof. Does this mean that "Octomom" should be in Congress, or how about that flakey woman on that Jon and Kate + 8 show? Let's put all the goofy women with lots of kids in Congress! :nanner:

Im not sure how Obama can be seen as better than Bush. I believe the highest unemployment rate for Bush was 7% or so, Obama has had an unemployment rate of virtually 10% for 20 STRAIGHT MONTHS NOW!!!!

This conveniently overlooks the fact unemployment was in free fall as Bush was leaving office, and quite naturally wasn't going to miraculously bottom out the day he left.

And no to the last statement as well. Unemployment has been hovering around 9% for quite a while now, not 10. Which as Hot Mega has pointed out is still better than Reagan's unemployment rate at this point in his first term.

George Bush never ran up deficits that caused Standard and Poor to threaten to downgrade our AAA credit rating.

The Bush administration didn't include the cost of either war in their deficits.

Only 3,000 posts until I get my FreeOnes shirt!
If she were elected president I would be shocked as I know Americans get a lot of shit when it comes to intelligence but I don't think the majority of you are stupid. If she runs against Obama I can't see her winning. From an international point of view, say what you guys will about Obama at least the guy exudes confidence and seems to have his shit together for the most part. Sure promises weren't fulfilled but welcome to every politician that runs for office.

Palin on the other hand is the opposite of that. I see a scatter brain that is just looking anyway she can to extend her 15 minutes. Although, if she does win The Daily Show and The Colbert Report will be hilarious as she's a goldmine for material.

The economy would most likely be worse if not for Obama's actions. As it stands unemployment is better than it was in June '83 (the exact same point in Reagan's first term). I assure you not a single one of the O bashers would be characterizing Reagan's economy the way they are characterizing Obama's now. Funny how that works eh?

That said, I have come to never underestimate a Demo's ability to snatch failure from the throes of success.

You had a decent list until I saw Santorum in there.:2 cents: Not that Romney and Gingrich are any good but at least they're not Bachmann or Saks Fifth Sarah.

No, the left is far more obsessed with her. I don't even want to get into it.

If there is an obsession from OTGs (other than GOPers) in the political spectrum, it is an obsession with trying to figure who supports this idiot and why.

What are you talking about? Virtually all the intelligence that led us to his compound was obtained while Bush was still in office.

 How is it there? (Deludedville).

Obama is going to lose.

First of all, McCain only lost the popular vote by 6 %. Obama will have a completely unacceptable and pathetic record on the economy.

Obama has been in office about 2 and a half years...you have a long way to go in characterizing Obama's record on the economy 'unacceptable and pathetic' when you consider the unemployment rate is a full point lower now (9.1 vs 10.1) under Obama than it was at the exact same point in Reagan's first term...When Obama has inherited by most sane accounts a worse situation. Point is, show us the evidence the economy should be better when in reality it could be allot worse.

They both inherited u/e rates at near 7 and a half pct.

You might want to keep the Jim Beam handy come Nov. '12.

I don't know and frankly I don't care.
Bush was a half witted sheep. A lazy douche bag front man for Dick's criminal enterprise!!!! Because of his lack of IQ points and Im goin golfin attitude to running our country many things that should have been being addressed or at least have been being discussed were ignored and did major harm to this great country. Anyone remember the Mortgage crash???? Anyone remember Katrina???? Anyone remember Iraq???? Oh yes and then there is 9/11??? "I'm sorry I just don't like to read my intel reports I find them so boring. Anyone want to do some blow????' Obama shows up for work!!! The man does what he thinks is best with the peoples needs first. Anyone who would say they would rather have W. back over Obama just wasn't paying attention. You keep putting people like W. in office eventually boards like this and the hot ass Adult Performer Gals we all love will not be around. GOD BLESS AMERICA. Vote for what you believe not what your sold.

As the economy tanks even more on a daily basis, Obama is in trouble. Real clear politics has Romney and he in a dead heat. Still much time before the nomination and election, however, 4 dollar a gallon gas will get you every time.
