Mexican drug cartels setting fire to our national forests.

Investigators have determined that the wildfire burning known as the La Brea Fire, in the Los Padres National Forest, which began on August 8, was actually started by a cooking fire being used by Mexican marijuana growers.

On Saturday, the Santa Barbara County sheriff's office and the U.S. Forest Service held a joint press conference and stated that the raging wildfire was touched off by a "cooking fire in a marijuana drug trafficking operation ... believed to be run by a Mexican national drug organization."

"Although the La Brea Fire started more than one week ago, there is evidence that the unburned marijuana garden area has been occupied within the last several days.”

The article's sensationalist headline is a tip off regarding it's origins. The link in the original post is to an opinion piece, written by an ultra conservative nobody who's social/political views have been described as "just left of Attila The Hun". Among many other brilliant observations, this race-baiting dipshit claims that 80% of America's black children are born out of wedlock

Here's his estimation of what the U.S of A's future will be once whites cease to be the majority race around 2050: "When the U.S. becomes dominated by blacks and Latinos, our country as we know it--will cease to exist. Crime, drug/alcohol abuse, and illegitimate births will cripple this nation."

There ARE a disturbing number of people who actually do advocate wholesale slaughter at the border, women and children included.

We've been hearing for years about how porous the US border are and that something needs to be done, but anyone who pushed for this is shouted down in the public debate and called racist names.

People need to start looking at these problems and THINKING about the SOLUTION and stop getting all emotional about it. Logic should dictate our actions and policy, not "feelings."

I'm left leaning yet there's no way I'd shout down anyone offering reasonable suggestions on how to approach this very real dilemma.

Even IF that's true, the impacts on society and the economy are indisputable. Look at what's happening in California right now and it's just a matter of time until the rest of the nation will be in the same boat... more illegal immigrants in an area = higher costs for the public (education, health care, schools, infrastructure, prisons, etc.). Our public funds are not unlimited...

I wasn't tarring an entire population with the same brush, so please don't say what I have not said and don't imply misleading interpretations about my comments. I said in my sentence "Look at the percentage of the mexicans involved in gangs, it is higher than you can think". Had I tarred an entire population with the same brush? Wrong and wrong.
