Shedding light on the Catacombs of Rome

minidog

Freeones T-shirt Winner
Rome's underground Christian, Jewish and pagan burial sites, the Catacombs, date back to the 2nd Century AD.

There are more than 40 of them stretching over 170km (105 miles).

But, until now, they have never been fully documented, their vast scale only recorded with handmade maps.

That is now changing, following a three-year project to create the first fully comprehensive three-dimensional image using laser scanners.

Catacombe

Though most famous for Christian burials, they include pagan and Jewish burials, after the Christians left. ;)

Christianity mixed with pagan rituals and idol worship is not Christianity.

That was all thanks to Constantine, who wasn't a Christian.
Regardless of what we have been told.

So by your definition, these things are not Christian:

The Holy Trinity
Easter
Christmas (including: Christmas tree, presents, eggnog, Santa Claus, the 3 wise men, wreaths, etc.)
All Saint’s Day
The concept of the virgin birth (from the Egyptian gods Isis and Horus)
Veneration of Saints
Passion Plays
St. Valentine’s Day
Wedding Veils and rings
The Sabbath being on Sunday (The pagan day to worship the sun)
Prayer
St. Brigid
And finally,
Jesus Christ (not Jesus of Nazareth, but the concept of Jesus Christos recorded in the gospels was greatly influenced by the Greek god Dionysus)
