The girl I've known for 6 months well it's her birthday and me and her were sort of seeing eachother on and off for these months but we never had many dates and just saw eachother outside of work.

She is always one of these people who doesn't like people paying for her and I have tried many times and always offer her drinks and she says no I'm okay just because she doesn't want to feel someone owns her or something. We have been acting like bf/gf despite the weird situation.

So anyway her got her a really nice card and I thought that if I got her something she might think I am trying to hard but at the same time I don't want her to feel that I think she is just a friend(she knows I love her so much) but I also don't think I will see her before or on her birthday but I might see her at work so what do you think?
