Should Lebron win the MVP?

laxe

I ran out of lube. Can I borrow yours?
I don't think so.
I think Kobe should get it again. I mean, people always talk how the cavs would suck without lebron and that lakers would still be good without kobe, but what they fail to realize is that the Cavs have MORE allstars on the team than the Lakers do and that's a FACT.

So do you think Lebron deserves the MVP this season?

Nice tits, mind if I feel them?
Eventhough, I think Dwyane and Kobe are better players, I have to go with LeBron.

Lebron has the best stats in the league, plus, his team is in first place. It's that simple!

The Lakers have Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum. They could all be all stars. Cavs have Mo Williams, who was only an all-star because people couldn't play. I don't see any other all stars on the Cavs. Maybe you could show some proof for your "FACTS".

Lebron averages more points. FACT
Lebron averages more rebounds. FACT
Lebron averages more assists. FACT
Lebron averages more blocks. FACT
Lebron has been better defensively this year.
Lebron has led the Cavs to the best record in the NBA with 5 games left. FACT
Lebron has led the Cavs to ONE loss on home court. ONE. FACT
Lebron is the first person since Oscar Robinson to have 2000 points, 500 assists and 500 rebounds in one season. FACT

I'm the biggest Laker fan in Canada, and even I can say Lebron has been a monster this year. He is the MVP. Kobe isn't even close. Dwayne Wade and Dwight Howard are more deserving then Kobe.

Lebron can have the MVP. Kobe will get finals MVP and his 4th ring.

Lebron is good, but people look too much into STATS and not the real FACTS

So by your logic, because the Lakers...as a team beat the Cavs...as a team, and Kobe almost did what Lebron did. Kobe should get MVP?

I like how you don't back up how Lebron ISN'T a better defender this season. More steals, more blocks, more rebounds must mean nothing.

And if you're not going to go by STATS, then what are you going to go by? Blatant Kobe homerism?

I'm waiting for some actual reasons and facts for why Kobe deserves MVP OVER Lebron. Because Kobe is having a fantastic season. But not as fantastic as Lebron. Or Wade. Or Howard.

If Lebron is a better defender I would like to see him make the all defensive 1st team this year.

My hand is my best friend!
^^^Well in that case I would totally do Kobe. But LeBron for MVP. Although Wade is having a ridiculous all-around year and I mean re-fucking-dunkulous year, but his team is what in 5th or something in the East. The MVP is gonna go to the the best player on the best team, as it was last year and the year before etc...

I don't pay enough attention to the NBA anymore to tell who is better, but an MVP award in any sport for that year should always go to the best player based on how their offense and defense that year would help their team to win more than anybody else would, period. You have to ask yourself if two teams had exactly average players that were exactly the same on each team except for the two players your comparing being on opposite teams which one would win more of the time. Crap like what they mean to the team compared to what some other person meant to some other team, the teams record, if the team made the playoffs, locker room presence, or anything like that should never matter.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Not really an avid NBA fan, but what superstar has led their team to a 37 wins - 1 loss record @ home?

Lebron James and what other superstar has matched that feat? NONE

Easy translation, Lebron James is the MVP of the league hands down. :yesyes:

If you're going to use that as an argument, than everybody else on the Cavs should be the MVP too. LeBron isn't the whole team. When LeBron isn't on the court, the Cavs are still a great team that beat up on everybody else. Well, except the other good teams, like LA and Orlando.

I'm not saying this to you as an individual, but...

I am sick and fucking tired of everybody sucking LeBron's dick. If he is as good as everybody says he is, explain to me why he doesn't have a Championship. Explain to me why his team sucked when his teammates were shitty, but now that his teammates are good and his team is awesome it's somehow 100% HIS doing.

People spend so much time with their mouths tightly wrapped around LeBron's testicles, I'm honestly surprised that they find time to eat. Well, eat other things besides LeBron's lumpy sack.

He'll get the MVP, but he isn't the most important person to his respective team. Wade, Kobe and Howard are all far more important to their team's success this year...hands down. But, the MVP award isn't necessarily given to the person who is most deserving. It is usually given to the person who is on the best team. Since LeBron is on the "best" team, he'll get the award.

I'm a huge Laker fan and hope Kobe gets the MVP. I wouldn't be mad if Lebron got it either because he's having one hella of a Season and deserves it aswell. Wade is cool, but he's not as consistent and isn't a huge team role model like Kobe and Lebron.

Underline indicates leader in that stat amongst the MVP candidates.

Lebron James

28.4 ppg
7.7 rpg
7.2 apg
1.7 spg
1.2 bbg
2.96 tpg

Best record in the league.

Kobe Bryant

27 ppg
5.3 rpg
5 apg
1.5 spg
.5 bpg
2.30 tpg

2nd best record in the league

Dwyane Wade

29.8 ppg
5 rpg
7.5 apg
2.3 spg
1.3 bpg
3.45 tpg

14th best record in the league

Dwight Howard

22.1 ppg
14 rpg
1.4 apg
1 spg
3 bpg
3.03 tpg

4th best record in the league.

I think these 4 guys are the main candidates for the MVP this year. Guys like Tim Duncan, Chauncey Billups, Chris Paul, Brandon Roy, Deron Williams all deserve honorable mention though.

You can decide for yourself who deserves it. I personally think Lebron James deserves it. He is having an historical season, very high averages in each category, playing unselfish team basketball, became a monster on the defensive side of the ball and is leading his team to the best record in the NBA.

However, I think if there were a Most Outstanding Player award(there should) it would be given to Dwyane Wade. 29.8 ppg, 7.5 apg and 2.3 spg. Excellent stats and his effort this year in putting Miami in the playoffs shouldn't go unrewarded.

If you're going off of stats, then Wade should win. LeBron doesn't lead in any of those categories, but Wade leads in 3 of them, including points AND assists.

Also, the MVP is meant to be given to the most valuable player in the NBA; the player that impacts their team's success the most throughout the course of the year. That is not LeBron. That is not Kobe. That is not Dwight Howard. That is Wade. Without Wade, the Miami Heat would be an absolutely horrific team and wouldn't even be close to making the playoffs.

The Cavs would still be in the playoffs if they didn't have Lebron James.
The Lakers would still be in the playoffs if they didn't have Kobe Bryant.
The Magic would probably still be in the playoffs if they didn't have Dwight Howard.
The Heat, on the other hand, would NOT be in playoffs if they didn't have Dwyane Wade.

In my opinion, Wade is the Most Valuable Player to his team and deserves the award.

But, LeBron will win because everybody is on his nuts and the MVP is nothing more than a popularity contest.
