Sites for new / unsigned bands or artists ?

Can anyone recommend sites where I can download songs/mp3's for new acts or unsigned bands etc?...
I used to enjoy listening and downloading songs from MP3.com, but now they have turned into a 'legit' type site.

I'm looking for sites which allow you to listen to a streaming low quality sample before downloading.

www.archive.org Its a complicated site IMO, but worth it.
