Sites Like Met-Art and Models

Doc Scurlock

Only 3,000 posts until I get my FreeOnes shirt!
Something I've been wondering about and that is why do these kinds of sites use made up names. For example, Ennie's name is Andrea Molekova so why not go with that instead of giving them a whole new name. My problem with this is that finding pics of these models becomes a pain in the ass as some of them have like 5 different names they go by.

Also, from a model point of view it would probably be in their best interest to have one name as that is your "brand" and thus people can easily identify you. I mean they don't even need to use their real names just use a stage name if they want their real identity to remain anonymous. Just a pet peeve of mine.

FreeOnes turned me straight!
I'm guessing it's more the sites than the models that push for the alternate names, wanting to pretend they have "fresh" talent instead of an established model that's already been on five other sites.

If FreeOnes was a woman, I'd marry her!
Alena Hemcova, Alona, Carolina, Cheryl C., Cindy, Helen, Leona, Lola, Scarlett A., Scarlett Johanxon.

All different names for 1 single model. As you can guess, not only MET (& similar sites) do it. ALS also did it & if you compare the names DDF uses with the names 21sextury uses for the same models you often find differences as well. (Cindy Hope vs Claudia for instance)

The possible reasons :

1. Companies want to make it look like they have original models (what neighborboy already said)
2. Models are not aware of the names companies use for them & the companies thus think of names themselves (their real names are of course not used).

He wasn't asking about real names, just why they don't keep one stage name.

I asked the webmaster at Nubiles.net this question and his response was "We just use the name that's on the contract." There are sites that tend to use the model's real or most common name and those that don't. Teen Dreams is one that almost always has models by a name different than the name by which she is most commonly found. Met Art, I find that it varies. Katie Fey is Jenya at Met Art, which is a contraction of her actual name, Eugenia. I'm sure that "Katie Fey" is copyrighted, so they couldn't have called her that on their site.
