Anybody else watching this series on FX? Reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes seem to be lukewarm about it due to its complexity and only give it a 59% score but the viewers seem to love it and rate it at 82%. I agree with the viewers and would highly recommend it. Check it out here if you are so inclined:

I love the show. It has the street logic of The Wire and the geopolitics of The Americans. I am watching Snowfall and Ozark on Netflix. Another show about illicit drug trade.

I agree. It is reminiscent of The Wire, though not quite as believable. IMO, too many of Franklin's adventures have a super hero/overly lucky feel and require the viewer to suspend disbelief. But I do like the show overall and have been watching it since the first episode. FX has a couple of good series now: Snowfall and Taboo - though I suspect that the second season of Taboo won't be nearly as good as the first.

Rather surprising finale. I like the show. But no, it doesn't begin to touch The Wire for realism or writing. Still, a good show though.

The last season began to fall flat. I didn't dislike it - I just didn't like it. If it gets renewed, I might watch one or two episodes. And then if it's not any better, I'll just drop it... like I have pretty much every modern TV show out there. Most of them are just a buncha "check the PC boxes", predictable, formulaic, Hollyweird crap.
