So, Where Was the "Liberally-Biased Media" For This??

How come a dozen, 50, 60, a couple hundred people from the Glenn Beck/FoxNews militias can show up to a town hall event or one of their tea parties, and get coverage on every single network, but THIS event, this PRO-Health Reform event in Seattle, got nada, got ZIP ??? And there were at least a couple thousand people for it?

Why would any self-respecting liberally-biased media ignore this? :dunno:

Welcome to the US news media ...

Because the networks often like to watch people analyze them and get discussions going with attitudes that are the same as most people do here -- hicks, ignorant people, etc...

Besides, conflict drives ratings and the Big 3, like Fox News, has made a lot of money on analysts demonizing the people behind these. It's fun to watch the circular reference.

No one wants to watch anything get actually solved. Left or right-leaning media, that's what this is about. Conflict, instead of resolution. Analysis, instead of results.

Welcome to the US news media. ;)

Because, in today's climate, crimes are more likely to happen at Tea Party Militia events then at Liberal events...

The Tea Party events are the media's version of "slowing down to look at the carwreck" phenomena...

Or so the Big 3 media would have you believe ...

Or so the Big 3 media would have you believe. It's more like they hope violence happens.

I find it humorous that any time people talk about right-wingers assembling, the pundits start throwing everything from abusing their 2nd Amendment to general rioting in the pile.

There are many different types of people who show up for assemblies, of any party or creed. I've been to several myself. There are a lot of unemployed people and students.

Never been impressed much myself. And yes, these were both Democrat and Republican events, I've been to both. And I've been to Libertarian rallies and we've laughed about them both too. ;)

Well, so far, nobody's provided anything remotely close to a cogent, coherent response to my question....

If the "media" were so damned liberal, Beck, Limpballs and Hannity wouldn't have the huge audiences they do. After all...aren't they the ones saying that the left wing controls the airwaves?

Given the sheer magnitude of the problem - Heath Care [sic.] - was it a case of: Ignorance is Bliss. Smell the coffee:rolleyes:

Huh? What in the world are you talking about?

And why the "Heath Care [sic.]" thing? Whose misspelling are you pointing out? Mine, that of the writer of the blog post? I saw no such misspelling...

Weird.

Good point.......kind of.
The media is liberal, biased for the DEMS.
Still, most people aren't, thats why conservative media gets such high viewers.

Talk radio is right-leaning, TV is left-leaning, in the US, but there are exceptions.

Murdock's Fox wouldn't be so popular if there was another conservative outlet to challenge it, something that wasn't so "in your face." Until then, you only have one media outlet as a Republican. That's a problem.

Yeah, so many exceptions, skewed in one direction, that your assertion is all but negated.

Oh brother... Yeah, you know that left-leaning NPR, that can't even get themselves to use the word torture for activities that are always torture whenever American enemies do them. Yeah, hell, they're sooooooo far left!

http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2009/06/22/npr/

And MSNBC - home of Joe Scarborough, the former Republican representative and defense attorney for Michael F. Griffin, the accused killer of abortion doctor David Gunn!!

MSNBC, the home of Chris Matthews, who just can't spew enough hatred toward Hillary Clinton (and not from the left side, either) or have Ann Coulter on as one of his guests frequently enough! Just sooooooo left-wing.

CNN, where Glenn Beck got his start, and Lou Dobbs remains. Sooooo left-wing!

Your understanding of the media is shallow, to say the least.
