Is he one of those guys who thinks that he can "change" you? I've never understood guys who think that about lesbians or girls who think that about gay guys.

She's not a lesbian, but I've had a mostly platonic friendship with a girl for about 10 years. It would be easier if one of us was gay, cause our joking around does create some sexual tension from time to time. But she does things for me and I do things for her. We're friends. That's what friends do for each other. It seems like more people would appreciate just a friendship (not a FWB) with a member of the opposite sex every now & again. The FWB I have was probably a mistake. Because now when one of us is in a relationship, it makes it weird for us to be around each other in the company of our significant others.

Hopefully this guy can just be your pal and you won't use his puppy love to take advantage of him.
