You know, this is something I've been wondering about for a while now. All of the information I've heard of has indicated that the game won't be out for a while, the game was essentially supposed to be a sandbox game, which Ubisoft created with Assassin's Creed.
I remember reading somewhere that Assassins Creed is part of a trilogy, the second game of which is going to be set in medieval Japan.
Although I agree that the first game was repetitive in the small missions between the big ones, the proper assassination missions were unique and very very well done, just few and far between. I absolutely love the way the game works with all the free running stuff though, so those few missions repeated over and over again didn't really bother me all that much.
i love free roaming games..i don't really play ones that keep you on a set path. walk this route, kill these 4 guys, walk further pull switch, open door, kill more guys.....
i may rent games like that but i refuse to do that set path bullshit anymore.
don't get me wrong assassins creed was a cool game i just got tired of always pickpocketing, helping the guy/gal getting harrassed, following the informant.... And today i got the new EGM mag and i was browsing it and saw there is a AC:directors cut ...coming out or it's out.
WHY? why put the same game back out again? go put out a 2nd one or do something else.
i won't get it
We can only imagine the mess left behind after the huge Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. So if you have to do some sweeping up there, it's probably best that it be in the awards category. Splinter Cell Conviction won more than 12 awards at E3; sweeping up more than any other Xbox 360 game, including GameSpot’s Best Action-Adventure Game and Best Xbox 360 Game
just read this today from EBGames website.
Im worried about SC: Conviction
If they changed the game around to be GTA like open world, like they did to Far Cry 3 then it could be a big upset for me. Aside from the lush jungles in FC3 the open world idea didnt work well for the game.
As much as I do hate pure linear games, I like the idea of choice for sure but if SC:C goes open world style, i hope they take ther time with the game and think it through.... Ubisoft #1
