I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
Exact number of unemployed in the US:

27,649,091

Yeop Meg 6,150 is a lot.:clap::rolleyes:

Still barking after being smoked by your own words??

Let me just remind you of what you said
Those employers will just hunker down until Otrauma is booted out.

Not as true now as when you were instructing your thumbs to hen peck those words in the reply now are they...

Wynn has contributed to both parties and claims to be a Democrat. His wife supports the Democratic party pretty heavily.

I'm sure that some of his leanings are in part due to Obama's slights towards Las Vegas.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/02/las-vegas-mayor.html

I'm not sure if Obama actually has anything against Las Vegas or if they were just politically insensitive. I think the gist of what Obama was saying is true, but people do make their living in that town.

I've been there twice over the past year for business and have had a great time.

6,150 out of nearly 28 million. :1orglaugh

Between February 2010 and May 2011 -- the 15-month period Goolsbee was referring to -- the U.S. economy created 2.1 million private-sector jobs. By contrast, following the previous recession, the economy actually lost 60,000 private-sector jobs during the equivalent period, which ran from August 2002 to November 2003.

There’s little question that the Obama recovery is stronger than the George W. Bush recovery -- in large part because the Bush recovery was so anemic. Not only did the Bush recovery produce job losses during the 15-month period Goolsbee cited, but it also produced job losses over the full 23-month period. Over the first 23 months of the Bush recovery, the economy actually lost 757,000 private-sector jobs and 577,000 total jobs.

Ive been in the states now for 6 weeks............when youre gone for a while then return you notice things.
Ive noticed a lot, most bad.
Its bad.
And people who are trying to make a living just cant.......and most of that is the politicians faults
like wynn said, people are now afraid of the government, at least working people.

I really dont see how anybody could defend Obamer at this point.

Jobless claims rise above expectations

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits rose more than expected last week, pointing to a labor market that is struggling to regain momentum.

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 418,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast claims rising to 410,000 from a previously reported 405,000.

"We're just stuck in this trend between 410,000 and 430,000. Generally we're just really not seeing any improvement but also not much worsening," said Jeffrey Greenberg, an economist with Nomura Securities in New York.

............A major consumer food producer, PepsiCo Inc, tempered its full-year outlook on Thursday due to economic uncertainty, sending its shares down slightly in premarket trading.

The maker of Pepsi-Cola, Frito-Lay snacks and Quaker oatmeal said it now expects 2011 earnings to grow at a high single-digit rate.

The company said the new goal reflects greater uncertainty regarding macroeconomic and consumer trends for 2011, high global commodity cost inflation and ongoing investments in emerging markets and brand building.

what because I said its bad out there?
How that could be equated with an old carton I dont know.

Very simply, The Government, The politicians , have the ability to make or break the economy.........for whatever reasons they have its pretty obvious which one they are and have been choosing.

I'm still trying to grasp why but whether people understand why is secondary, first they have to realize that its real and even then who knows if it will change.
I guess the first step would be voting the leader of the bunch out because he's obviously either inept or intentionally fucking things up.
I said it before he was elected, way before, then I gave him some time, now I know I was right from the start.

But its not just him I know. THE GOV has just gotten too big and theyve made it almost impossible for middle class working people to get anywhere and many seniors are living in squaller.
And people with capital are just afraid to do anything that might help.
Like wynn said people are now afraid of the government, literally, its not supposed to be that way.

The only ones that seem to have any comfort are the very rich and the ones on welfare or disabilty.......at least they know their check will be on time.

Something has got to change.

Just from what I've gathered of him I'd say that's pretty spot on. He probably schmoozes with Maher and all his cronies.

There's a point about Steve Wynnbagging on Obama in here?

The wealthy liberals want to keep things the way they are. They want more but are willing to scatter a few coins to the chavs begging down the street to make them feel like they're fighting for the poor.

He doesn't have anything against LV (at least nothing in this case reasonably suggests it).

Obama could have and maybe should have simply said businesses being bailed out shouldn't be engaging in excessive junkets with the money since there are apparently people can't distinguish him saying LV as an example...from thinking he's criticizing LV. Obama wasn't telling 'people' in general not to go to Vegas (no more than he was telling people in general not to go to the Super Bowl for that matter:rolleyes:).

Maybe in the slightest realities of our sound bite world people played word association and heard 'shouldn't----------go and Las Vegas' in a statement then were somehow persuaded one way or the other...but really?? That???

If that's a possibility I would suggest with the vitriol some seem to have for the O man...it could have very well played into LV's favor as people similarly sound bit and decided to go to LV just to spite him.:dunno:

No, because you made a general commentary on the economy and laid the entire blame on Obama.

I really dont see how anybody could defend Obamer at this point.

Sure the government is to blame but its interesting how there is no mention of the bankers who gambled away billions of dollars or corporations who lobby to ship jobs and squeeze the American worker to bump their profit margins.

Right, so let's vote out a guy who actually did something worthwile like creating the CFPB and elect a Republican who wants to cozy up with the bankers who destroyed the economy in the first place. :brick:

Over the last decade, the biggest expansion of government has been internal security otherwise the government jobs have come down by half a million or so. And Wynn lied, its not the govt. that is holding back investment, its the lack of demand.

Actually there have been deep cuts in Medicaid and all around that help the most needy, most of which have been cut to preserve tax cuts for 'job creators'.
