Study: Conservatives have larger ‘fear center’ in brain

being liberal or conservative or anything in between has nothing to do with brain anatomy, get real.
only a liberal would believe that.

its mostly about upbringing and how much shit that they sold you in school and post 1995 mtv you bought.

Given that fear is our most primal emotion, developed though countess years of evolution, I'm surprised liberals haven't all died off. :2 cents:

Heh. The sample size for this "study" was 96 and only 2 within the study were identified as conservative. Let's not forget that "conservative" in Britain is something very different from U.S. "conservative."

The fact that American liberal blogs have latched onto it says more about them than the subjects of the study.

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
Is this from the same people who used to have "studies" that other races were inferior? Then again, what kind of fear do they mean? Fear for their lives? Fear of the unknown? If it's fear of trying something new, I wouldn't call that a fear, unlike some liberals who may be open to try anything new, we have a tendency to think it through more carefully before jumping right into whatever it is that liberals are jumping into. I guess that's why liberals consider conservatives old fashioned in just about everything. For example, liberals just want to stop using oil immediately and switch to "green" energy, while we conservatives are more into questioning if it's the right time or even the right thing to do.

if more space is taken up by fear that means they have less brain power for other stuff... like, you know, reason and logic.

typical conservative post............bravo :hatsoff:

here's mine.
two squirrels live next door to each other.
one squirrel saved his nuts for the long winter ahead when nuts were impossible to find.
he conserved.
the other squirrel ate his nuts very liberally, didn't save a one.

winter came and who survived?
of curse if the squirrels were human and living in the usa the GOV would force the conservative squirrel to give have his nuts to the liberal squirrel because i "its only fair".

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.

Human beings are at our stage of dominance and prowess in many things because of the innate liberal courage of some to challenge predominant human fears that you appear to question.

Also I suppose there is some redemptive value in reserving judgments or actions until you're reasonably sure of something. But in some cases you have those who want to be unrealistically 100 pct. sure of an uncharted course. Sometimes you aren't going to be 100 pct. sure something is right until the moment you realize it was absolutely wrong. Then you're just sure you were wrong. However, getting bogged down in analysis paralysis, where you consider something to the point of not doing anything becomes dumb.

Lastly, considering something differently or longer doesn't always mean you're considering it with more wisdom, care, due diligence, etc.:2 cents:

No, it's just another symptom of religious delusion.

What does religion have to do with it?

It's a sample of 96 BRITISH students and only 2 were conservative. The vast majority of British people don't attend Church and there are many, many atheists. Conservatives in Britain aren't anymore religious than the general public for the most part. It's so a political party so you have all types.
