In case you do not know, the whole country of Italy goes on vacation during the month of August.
When I say everybody, I mean everybody.
The roads are packed night and day with people traveling back and forth from the Mediterranean Sea.
If you need a plumber, electrician or anybody else during August, then you will have to be without water or electricity until September 1st.
It is a tradition that has been in place for hundreds of years.
