All of this fucking disgusts me.
People laughing at her while she came out. Sure, she's no beauty I'll admit that, but it's not like she has dung all over her. And even the TV crew played along in all of it.
Who the fuck are they to judge what she is and isn't?
Let's pose the scenario that she hadn't been a good singer. They would all have continued laughing. She had become "the ugly idiot who tried and failed" instead of the "ugly duckling." I'm disgusted that people in this day and age still aren't sensible and sensitive enough to judge someone from what she is, rather than what she can do.
Also, what if she hadn't been as aware of her own appearance as she happened to be. She managed to dust off all the haters and just go for it, and kudos to her for that. But what if instead, she had been devastated and shocked from the crowd's reactions. She would've started crying on the scene and people wouldn't be so smug then, when they see what they're judgmental behaviour results in.
Frankly, she has to have a pretty big heart to even accept all the praise from the people at this point. If I was her, I would have gone to some serious music producer instead and said "fuck off" to the mainstream media who right now are sucking all they can from this scoop.

Don't get me wrong she's a relatively good singer, but there are HUNDREDS better just in the theatres of the West End (of London) alone.

Of course she's not best in Britain-good. Only a handful of the spawns from these shows (Idol, Talent etc) are that good. But they're good enough to be produced... although that doesn't say much...
The whole premise of the show is.. laughable. The people who have talent arent so much. (laughable)
