By the love of god, seriously?! You obviously are either in desperate need for confrontation or unable to read my postings correctly. I was making an exaggerated, satirical and partly ironical posting about how resentment, stereotypes, prejudice and hate are still present in everyday mordern thinking. And I said that very clearly at the end of my posting.
You just picked out one sentence, took it completely out of context and focused only on this one sentence since. Why? Do you have any reason? Or do you just jump at the first word you see? I think, I could just as easily have written: "I don't think, that all Americans are racists". You would have just quoted: "all Americans are racists" and jumped around in a circle like Rumpelstiltskin and screamed "You said I'm a racist! You're a racist! Racist! Racist!....."

I do not, I repeat do not think, that all Americans are racists. And I'd strongly recommend that you consider taking back what you said about me.

And by the way: I care about my country's past, because I live in this country, and because I'm a historian, who know's that it is a proud country, rich with good history and good culture, and not only "the Nazis".



You have no idea, what you are talking about. And that is pretty obvious. First of all, what I said to Chef counts for you as well. Read and understand my posting.
And secondly, how do you know, which tendencies are prevelant in racist people? And how do you know what are hard facts and what not? It seems to me, that the answer to these questions is: "you do not know".
There are a lot of hard facts about stereotypes, racism, prejudice and so on. You wanna know, how I know this? Because there is research and there are scientific and scholarly studies, inquiries analysis about these things. How about some years of sociology, educational science history and political science?
The ridiculous supposition was on your part, my uneducated friend.

This thread should be closed, and to call me uneducated is preposterous. As is your arguing. You made no valid points; the points you did make were extremely vague and were backed up with nothing. Yours is but a long winded post of your personal opinions that you try to pass off as fact. You have not stated any facts. You mentioned research and scientific, scholarly studies.

Can you reference any? Why haven't you used any of these to back up your "argument"? I'd also think it great if you could highlight for us exactly WHERE in your posts you can point to ANYTHING that resembles a fact.

Whether or not you agree with the comment, written by you in your post, that Americans are racists, you still put that out there for Americans to read and react to, which is why I am wasting my time with your comments. Not once did I call you any names, sir, and I would appreciate the same in return from you. I am definitely not "uneducated", as you claim, but rather, have made quite a name for myself in certain scholarly circles, of which I am still a participating member.

If you want to debate, fine. Let's do it. But I would strongly urge you to refrain from personally attacking members of this board if you have any desire or wish to remain a contributing member to these forums.
