Central Texas Police Chief Arrested After Taser Used On Wife.

The chief of police in the small town of Oakwood in Leon County was in the Leon County Jail Tuesday after his arrest on a warrant charging aggravated assault that stems from what evidently was the use of a Taser on his wife.

Monday night, the Oakwood City Council voted unanimously to fire him after council members were advised that Ivy’s wife had injuries consistent with use of a Taser.

Tasers were one of those things that probably seemed like a good idea for law enforcement when they were first created, but with time we can see they come with way too many bad sides now. Too many people are willing to use them as a retributive tool or just because they are a jerk because they know they are probably not going to be lethal.
