The 4:20 Thread

There's a guy that I work with, who admittedly hasn't been sober since the 70's, who has his alarm set to play Handel's 'Hallelujah' chorus at 4:20 every afternoon. When that time comes he drops everything and goes somewhere to light up, even if he's in the middle of a meeting with someone in management. They all know what Rhino's important business is at that time.

I haven't really paid homage to 420 a lot, and even today I can't because I'm all out. And it's so expensive here too

I saw a show on G4 where some high ranking judge is pulling to legalize pot in california, not just for medicinal use either. He was saying they could bring in 1.3 billion a year in taxation on the stuff. They are spending at least a billion a year now on futile efforts to eradicate it. Marijuana is the #1 cash crop in california now. Grapes are #2. Seems like a no brainer to me. Plus there is speculation that the Obama administration may decriminalize it on a federal level...god I can only hope! I'd rather they just legalize the shit. Then I could smoke the shit without worrying that I might have to take a random piss test at work

more than 2 birds really. Just think of all the space we'd free up in our jails. Prison over crowding is an epidemic in today's penitentiaries. Due in part to people who are in jail for minor drug offenses.

The taxation of pot would help the economy. Wouldn't fix it, but it sure as hell would help!

Drug related violence would decrease.

Etc...I can't think of more positives right now. I have had other ideas how legalization would be a big plus, but can't remember them now. I really can't see any negatives to it.

I've decided to start a thread for everyone out there who knows the significance of 4:20pm.

Whenever the clock strikes 4:20pm in your time zone, and you are able to sit back and burn one, log onto Freeones and join your fellow members for a communal smoke session.

If you decide to participate then come to this thread at 4:20pm and let your stoney comrades know you are with them.

Feel free to tell us about your 4:20 experience, your mind state, your day, how your life is going, why your taking the moment to kick back and relax your mind, or anything else that pops into your head while you are in an "elevated" state.

(BTW, this thread is for the "community within the community". So let's make this a positive place. No stoner bashing please.)

Imagine the bootleging that would start then though. Everyone would be growing their own. I guess that would give the Gov't even more right to take away even more rights (raid city). Who knows.
