The 80s Metal scene is alive and well....

in the form of White Wizzard.

As soon as the guitars kicked in it took me right back to the 1980s.

I understand what you are saying pal. But I think they keep the 80s Metal flame alive. This is something most of the bands from back then who are still going just are not doing themselves. And IMO the 80s scene is the best era of Metal ever. So if these boys along side the likes of Enforcer and Holy Grail wish to keep the Metal flame from the 80s burning with their music. Then so be it.

Sounds like a poor man's Maiden...not bad though, they definitely have the sound.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
I posted before I listened. I assumed it was glam metal. This isn't quite as bad as glam metal though. When I hear new bands with this old sound, I can't help but feel like it's a joke. They had some good harmonies though. 5/10.

White Wizzard.
Wolf (from Sweden).
Enforcer.
Holy Grail.

There are more but the names escape me for the moment. I consider the sound they all have as hugely influenced by the 80s scene. And myself included if I had a band as well. It would be the same. I play what I love and I love the 80s Metal music.

Wolf - Speed On.
Enforcer - Midnight Vice.

Search for these two songs on Youtube and see if they don't kick ass in true Traditional Metal style.

That video kicks so much ass it's almost criminal. There's so much going on in there it reaches back and rocks a place so old that a lot of people won't understand. That song is to Metal what Huey Lewis' Heart of Rock and Roll was to Rock and Roll. Nice study in Post Modern Metal. Big thumbs up!

Yngwie Malmsteen is still keeping his end up too & been doing his music since the 80's. Admittedley his more recent stuff is not as good as his legendary 80's stuff

Caged Animal from his latest album

New School does Old School pretty damn well. All that was missing was a bullet belt and a studded wrist band for pure 80s metal perfection.

I'd rep you but it said I need to give out more first before I can give you some more.

Holy Grail's vocals are out of this world. Also, I saw Accept a couple of nights ago and my ears just stopped ringing; possibly the best live performance I have ever seen.

I don't know and frankly I don't care.
What exactly is "80's Metal"? You mean Glam Metal/Hair Metal?
Not to be that guy, but there was great Thrash metal and early Death Metal and Black Metal in the 80's, not to mention the whole NWOBHM early on.
I hate it when people say "80's metal" because it ends up putting them in the same category as that Gay L.A. Metal. :2 cents:

Piss off - I'm wanking
@Moonchild

How come you call L.A. Metal GAY ???
Those were the guys who had the hottest girls!! Or better yet: who HAD girls.
Judas Priest, the gayest of them all, were called REAL metal, but was gay to the core.
So was Trash Metal,too.
Guys posing for other guys. How gay is that ???
