A Layman’s Guide to Anthropogenic (Man-Made) Global Warming

Using simple math, we see that if temperatures have risen 0.5C due to 36% of a doubling, we might expect them to rise by 1.39C for a full doubling to 0.056% of the atmosphere. But this assumes that the rise is linear — but we already said (and no one denies) that it is in fact a diminishing return relationship. Using a truer form of the curve, a 0.5C historic rise for 36% of a doubling implies a full doubling would raise temperatures by about 1C, or about 0.5C more than we have seen to date. Based on empirical evidence, we would then expect a rise of CO2 concentrations to 0.056% (a level we might expect between the years 2070 and 2100) to increase world temperatures another 0.5C. This means that the magnitude of global warming in the next century might be about what we have seen (and apparently survived) since 1940.

Soo all this drastic temperature/weather change happened during these last decades? Sorta coincides with the industrial revolution and humankind polluting the earth?

Well common sense goes both ways on that one. If it's manmade.. stop the pollution.
If it's natural.. why SHOULDNT we stop the pollution? You seriously think it's okay to save a few coins.. maybe a few dollars by belching smoke into the air we breathe? That's just unacceptable. Make YOU guys spend a few weeks in Southern California when a smog day is in FULL effect. Send you to Mexico City or Tokyo during a mask day. Living in some of these polluted cities is the same as smoking a pack a day. But dont let me spout common sense, skip the global warming shpiel and just go check out pollution levels around the globe. This is true...clean air etc is accepted as a good thing, and if China, Mexico, and many new developing countries would also agree we'd make a lot more progress.
Global Warming is like Killer Marijuana; make up a body of obvious lies, and as they are realized there goes credibility on all the other issues that are espoused by, in this case, government.
No one is for polution, but who wants to do without most of what we have just like that...and throwing in Global Warming is a recipe for losing the attention of the common folk who ultimately decide what is done and when.

If it wasn't for the fact that the consequences are dire for everybody, I would almost be content to sit back and when the approaching train wreck finally hits laugh at all the "Global Warming isn't that big of a deal" people as they become thought of as the next Flat Earth Society and are cursed by future generations for what they have done. It seems like despite ridiculous amount of evidence suggesting it, and the support of the vast majority of scientist in the world, that some people have to search for any little thing to try and convince themselves it’s not true, because they don’t want to deal with the fact that the truth of the matter might be something they don’t like.

I also wonder how they came up with the top global warming supporters. Not only is something like that completely subjective, the fact they just list celebrities is pretty obviously "cherry picking". They just get more focus like celebrities do in pretty much every matter. Do people that think global warming is happening get to put Rush as the foremost world authority on the side of it all being some scam in return?

Of course you would also have to assume nobody that has signed that list has changed their mind since 1998 (which I don't doubt many of them have), that they are all valid and not made up(doubtful), and that if an accurate list like that was made of people that believe that global warming is happening and is a major problem their numbers wouldn’t just drown out that.
