I barely watched the game or the half-time show. And the Black Eyed Pea$ did OK, as far as I was concerned. But speaking of wardrobe issues, isn't Fergie the girl who peed on herself during a concert, or am I thinking of someone else?

Oh, I assumed when you said Aussies you were being more general in regards to international bands. But any one of the multitude of bands that have been thriving for decades is fine IMO. Just as long as it's not some group like BEP that churns out crappy commercial hits.

You mean the Black album? 'Fade to Black' is a track off Ride the Lightning (a song that I have heard a lot of kids have committed suicide to, BTW). So I take it you aren't really a follower, or you just had a brain fart.

Still, I don't think Metallica would have been a good choice overall because the SuperBowl Halftime Show is a majorly mainstream event.
If Metallica were to ever play the show, I woul want full blast Creeping Death etc...not a medley of the "hits" nor Enter Sandman. That was 1991. :2 cents:

I genuinely like the BEP, I don't know why some people hate on them.

Simple:

A. They have two unnecessary members.
B. They haven't written an original song in almost a decade.
C. Will.I.Am is the most overrated "musician" in history. So as he goes, so too goes the group.
D. They murdered one of the greatest songs from one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

And perhaps the most germane reason:
E. THEY CAN'T DO SHIT WITHOUT AUTOTUNE.

It's easy to hate them when you consider the evidence against them.

Yes, AC/DC has universal appeal. Most of the brothas I have hung around will have a couple of random AC/DC cds mixed in with a mountain of hip hop cds.
