If a politician is a beutiful/handsome are there any benefits?

Maybe because a handsome person gets more attention and people want to be represented by a person who has a lot of influence.

I never thought of that one before. I remember getting the spam emails comparing the coincidences between between Kennedy and Lincoln. Something along the lines of Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln and Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy. That may not be exactly correct but if I were a president I would go through the history of assassinated presidents and make sure people that worked for me didn't have the names of secretaries and such of those presidents that didn't fare so well. I am superstitious like that.

History has a tendecy to repeat itself, so that would be a sensible measure.
