Cloud Strife

Cloud Strife (クラウド・ストライフ, Kuraudo Sutoraifu) is a fictional character and the main protagonist in Square's (now Square Enix's) role-playing game Final Fantasy VII and several of its sequels and spin-offs. His original design was created by Final Fantasy VII character designer Tetsuya Nomura. Cloud's appearance is marked by spikey blonde hair, striking blue eyes, dark clothing and his Buster Sword, which previously belonged to his friend Zack Fair. Cloud is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai in Japanese, and in English by Steve Burton.

In Final Fantasy VII, Cloud is a mercenary and self-proclaimed ex-member of SOLDIER, a select, genetically augmented military unit operating under the defacto world government and megacorporation Shinra Electric Power Company. Fighting against Shinra in the resistance group "AVALANCHE" and driven by a feud with the primary antagonist, Sephiroth, Cloud learns to come to terms with his troubled past and adapts to his role as a leader. Cloud has also appeared in several other titles outside the Final Fantasy VII continuity. Such titles include Itadaki Street Special, Final Fantasy Tactics, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Ehrgeiz, and the Kingdom Hearts series.

Cloud has garnered a primarily positive reception by critics. Described as "iconic," the character has been ranked highly in various published character lists. Cloud remains popular among fans, and continues to place highly in popularity polls. Cloud has also become the basis for a variety of merchandise, such as action figures and jewelry.

Ashley J. "Ash" Williams is the protagonist in the Evil Dead horror film franchise, played by Bruce Campbell, and created by director Sam Raimi.

Throughout the series, Ash has to face off against his loved ones inside an abandoned cabin as they are possessed by "deadites", the evil souls of the dead

Ash is in his early twenties. He is employed at the housewares section of the superstore S-Mart, and has a girlfriend, Linda. Based on the engineering textbooks in the trunk of his car, it appears that he is studying at Michigan State University. Also, in the first Army Of Darkness comic book released by Dark Horse Comics, Ash says his father spent $20,000 on his engineering degree, showing that either he completed his schooling and had done nothing with his education, or dropped out.

Name: Bayman

Game: Dead or Alive series

Occupation: Assassin

Home: Russia

Bayman was born and raised in Russia. He aspired to join the military, and became one of Russia's highly-trained commandos. But before he saw any action, the Soviet Union collapsed. Realizing the new regime would have no use for him, Bayman slipped through the cracks of the reformation. He took up the life of a mercenary, putting his skills to good use in all manner of lethal assignments. He found particular pleasure in assassinations, especially challenging or high-profile assignments.

Bayman's dream assignment came to him. He entered into the first Dead or Alive Tournament with the objective of assassinating its organizer, the renowned Fame Douglas, chairman of DOATEC. His task completed, Bayman fled, now branded an outlaw, after Donovan sent an assassin to kill him as 'payment' for completing the job.

Although Bayman only appears as a secret character, it was said that Bayman caught word of one of the entrants; an Italian mercenary named Leon. With that in mind, Bayman risked capture to enter the tournament again, hoping to find and challenge his old acquaintance.

Bayman enters the DOA3 tournament to take revenge on Donovan. He meets one of Donovan's assassins, Christie, and reveals to her that he seeks to kill him. He also tells Christie that he is a professional unlike her who is one of Donovan's lap dogs.

Later, he notices someone behind a tree and throws a knife to Ryu Hayabusa. He reveals to him that that knife will be used to kill Donovan, after which they fight.

After the tournament, a flashback is shown, where Bayman's parents died during an airplane bombing while he watched as a child. When the flashback was over, Bayman finished preparing and threw a dart, landing right in a bullseye shot. It is assumed that he was continuing his task to assassinate Donovan.

Once again, Bayman has entered the latest tournament seeking revenge on Donovan. During the tournament, he is confronted by Helena who offers to help him in his quest for revenge. Bayman refused but fights Helena to see if her "resolve is just as strong" despite their common reason to kill Donovan.

Bayman is cold and ruthless, his mind filled with nothing but thoughts of revenge. Before a fight, Bayman often tells his opponent to prepare themselves, emphasising his confidence & strength. Since the failed attempt on his life by Donovan, Bayman has been obsessed with eliminating his former employer. He seems to have a bond of at least mutual respect with Leon.

Cid.jpg

Name: Cid Highwind
Job: Pilot
Age: 32
Weapon: Spear
Height: 5'8"
Date of Birth: February 22nd
Birthplace: Unknown
Blood Type: B

Cid Highwind was a former employee for Shin-Ra in the company's Space Program. Cid was the main pilot for the first rocket built by Shin-Ra. On the day of launch, Shera, one of Shin-Ra's employees, was working on the lower level of the rocket as it was preparing to launch. Cid, realizing Shera's life was in danger, aborted the launch to save her life. However, the rocket was now useless, so a town was constructed surrounding the vessel, appropriately named Rocket Town.

Shin-Ra disassembled the Space Program soon after. Cloud and his companions met Cid when they arrived at Rocket Town, coincidentally followed by Shin-Ra. Cid assumed Shin-Ra wanted to restart the Space Program, but instead wanted Cid's airship to search for Sephiroth. Cid, furious that they did not restart the Space Program, decided to join Cloud in his quest against Shin-Ra and to save the Planet from Sephiroth.

Cid is a good-hearted “Captain” who risked his long-awaited dream to save his assistant, Shera. His knowledge of science had brought him to Rocket Town in hopes of achieving the title of “first man in space,” and his faith in his work extends as somewhat of a religion he holds dear to him. Obscuring his once-in-a-lifetime goal, Shera is usually seen as the woman in which he ventilates his anger on, but in actuality, he deeply cares for her well-being; he eventually comes to a realization that Shera most-likely saved his own life as well - not to mention, he develops a sincere respect for her knowledge. He never allows himself to believe that Lady Luck had ever failed him in his dream of becoming a great pilot.

Got two nipples for a dime?
Prince of Persia.

The Prince is the only known son of King Sharaman. Growing up in the palace of Babylon, the Prince was trained as a warrior and acrobat, yet he was also known for his kindness and good heart, often going out to speak with his people. This is also where the Prince learned his parkour-like skills, his years of playing amongst the street and rooftops, pretending to be "all sorts of creatures".

One year, the Prince travelled with his father to India where the Maharajah's Vizier promised the king to betray his master in exchange for his pick of the Maharajah's treasures.

Sharaman accepted, and the Persians managed to conquer the Indians. Seeking his father's favour, the Prince snuck into the treasure vaults and stole the Dagger of Time which he was allowed to keep as a souvenir, angering the Vizier.

Got two nipples for a dime?
Issac Clarke (Dead Space)

Isaac was born in northeastern America, the son of renowned ship designer Paul Clarke, who left for space when Isaac was still a child. In her husband's absence, his mother Octavia turned to the Church of Unitology. Isaac took after his father and obtained education in electrical and mechanical engineering and was selected to a prominent engineering academy. However, he was unable to afford the tuition because his mother had purchased a Vested-level title in the Unitologist Church. Nonetheless, Isaac graduated with high honors from a lesser college and became a systems engineer like his father. After several years when it became apparent to his superiors that Isaac possessed the ability for original engineering solutions, he was promoted to a position closer to the major shipping lines. Isaac has been attempting to reunite with his father for some time, who had mysteriously gone missing; his personnel files classified by high levels of the government. Isaac previously lived with his girlfriend Nicole, but his career had begun to stagnate about the same time as her assignment - and promotion - to the USG Ishimura two years prior to its communication blackout.

Engineer Isaac Clarke was one of the five crew members stationed aboard the USG Kellion when it was dispatched to repair the communications array of the USG Ishimura. While Isaac volunteered for the mission due to his resourceful engineering specialties, his ulterior motives for taking part in the hasty operation were to track down his past girlfriend and possibly fiancée, Nicole, who was serving on the Ishimura since her promotion to senior medical officer two years prior. Soon after emerging from hyperspace near the Ishimura's last known position above colony world Aegis 7, the Kellion was struck by a piece of floating debris and forced to crash land in the Ishimura's hangar bay. Shortly after disembarking from the damaged Kellion and noticing that the ship seemed deserted, the party was set upon by unknown assailants; they appeared to be horribly mutated members of the Ishimura's crew, exhibiting murderous rage. The wake of the attack left Computer Specialist Kendra Daniels and the team's commander Captain Zach Hammond shaken with the other crew members killed by Necromorphs, Isaac separated from the rest of the group and the Kellion destroyed.

Left for dead on the Ishimura, Isaac is saved by Nicole. She appears and compels him to take the Marker back to Aegis 7, recalling the shuttle in the process and forcing Kendra to evacuate. Once on the colony world, Isaac finds the colony to be in a shape of abandoned disarray: covered in gore and the same alien markings found on the Red Marker.

Pulling the Marker through the Necromorph-infested colony, Isaac finally succeeds in returning it to its pedestal. This results in a massive, blinding pulse of unknown energy that disables the gravity tethers holding the cracked chunk of Aegis 7. However, Kendra Daniels appears and removes the Marker from the pedestal, intending to load it into the shuttle and return to Earth. Before leaving Isaac to his fate Kendra insists that he has gone insane, and forces him to watch Nicole's last hololog to the end. After professing her love for Isaac, it is revealed Nicole commits suicide in the wake of the spreading Necromorph massacre. It seems that the Marker itself caused Isaac to hallucinate Nicole's voice and appearance during his horrifying journey through the bowels of the ill-fated Ishimura. Despondent yet determined, Isaac returns to the shuttle pad in time to see a tentacle brutally kill Kendra. Seconds after the tentacle discards her body, the ground shakes and the smoky air fills with an ear-splitting roar as the "Hive Mind" rears up from the planetcrack crater. Finally revealed after having previously been kept at bay by the Marker, the Hive viciously attacks Isaac. He nonetheless manages to defeat the beast by destroying its 'lungs' and 'hearts' just in time to escape the colony as the tectonic load crashes down, obliterating it and, presumably, the Red Marker.

After his narrow escape, Isaac is left alone on the shuttle to lament his experience. While removing his helmet, Nicole's final message begins playing on the main holoconsole. In his heartbroken state, Isaac stops the video before it finishes. Deactivating all holographic displays, he stares disconsolately into space. A sudden, soft movement to his right catches his eye, and he spins around to face a stow-away Necromorph that unnervingly resembles Nicole - and lunges at him as the game cuts to the ending credits.

Name: Frank West!

Game: Dead Rising

Occupation: Journalist/photographer, all around ass kicker!

In Dead Rising the player assumes the role of Frank West as he finds himself in the biggest scoop of his career after hearing of Willamette, Colorado, a town that has been blockaded by the National Guard. Frank hires a helicopter pilot to take him to Willamette. Upon entering the Willamette Parkview Mall, the player has exactly 72 hours to assist trapped survivors and unravel the mystery behind a zombie outbreak. It has been seen that he is no longer the protagonist for the upcoming sequel, "Dead Rising 2", probably due to some events in the first game.

Frank West will appear in Dead Rising 2, as a insane survivor, probably due to event's of Dead Rising.

Frank's default costume is a black jacket with a white button-up shirt, khaki pants, and brown loafers. However, the player can visit various shops in the mall and change Frank's clothing. Many of Dead Rising's costumes are references to other Capcom games such as Frank's unlockable Megaman X outfit, or Arthur's boxers from Ghosts 'n Goblins. His camera is unbranded but is clearly a Nikon D70, and changes appearance between gameplay and cut scenes.

He also covered wars, you know.

Captain Gabriel Angelos Dawn of war and Dawn of war 2

Gabriel_Angelos_Portrait.jpg

In the game, Brother-Captain Gabriel Angelos is the commander of the Blood Ravens' 3rd Company. He carries a guilty conscience for destroying his homeworld Cyrene(one of the bloodravens home worlds) and agonizes over this continuously, though he does not often speak of it. Only his battle-brothers of the Blood Ravens truly understand his feelings on the matter. Gabriel himself, like most Imperial Soldiers, distrusts aliens immensely; it is for this reason he shows incredible disdain for the Eldar in his encounters with their leader, Farseer Macha (though in the novels, his disdain for them gradually lessens). He has also grown up with Librarian Isador Akios, whom he trusts immensely. Captain Gabriel Angelos was armed with a Power Sword and Bolt Pistol, but was given a Daemon-Hammer by Inquisitor Mordecai Toth. His Bolt Pistol was also upgradeable to a Plasma Pistol.

Not even into warhammer stuff and only encountered it when I picked up the first Dawn of war game but as an RTS fan I found it quite enjoyable. The character himself is quite bad ass and completely fanatical as you can see from this video from his war journal. Also dunno if anyone noticed but his name seems to be a interesting play on gabriel the angel as in archangel or maybe thats just me:)
