What is the difference between bologna and baloney?

Bologna - processed luncheon meat the butcher slices and gives
you at the deli counter.

Baloney - The lines that the butcher may feed you when he says,
"It is made with 100% natural meat products."

While investigating this important question, I found this:

"Bologna sausage is commonly believed to be created from lowly scraps of meat cuts. It is assumed that this food is the origin of the slang word baloney, meaning "nonsense".

So, after reading several hundred Google searches, my personal opinion is, "I don't care how you make it, spell it, other other people's negative opinions about it. I like bologna and am not going to stop eating it."

I like to eat bologna, but I don't like people telling me, "You are full of baloney" after I finish my sandwich.

Anyway, do you full of baloney like I am?

Lebanon Bologna (originated in Lebanon, PA.....nothing to do with the country) is actually pretty damned tasty!!!! It's a high quality, smoked beef bologna, and it is NOTHING like that off-brownish gray crap that people think of when they talk about bologna. They just started carrying it at Albertson's in Louisiana & I'm in heaven (used to be you couldn't even find it in Pittsburgh)....ha ha ha!!!!

Anyway, here is the Wikipedia page for what I am talking about. The sweet version is best.....has more sugar in it and is thus tastier!!!!

bologna is gross, even all beef bologna, i put it on the same level as bavarian meatloaf, when i go to by my meets at the deli counter, people still buy it for ther children

i remeber when bologna used to be cheep, and thats why people would buy it, not for the taste but for the cheep price, now its not even cheep, stupid inflation

if you must have your bologna fix, why not try italian mortedella, its like a fancy bologna with chunks of fat in it
