I got a dumb question . how did it go from jesus dieing for our sins on good friday and rising from his grave on easter sunday.

to turning into the easter bunny who brings you colored eggs and candy i did a few different searches on this and came up with nothing so im asking the great folks of freeones

The early german tribes prayed to a goddess named "Ostara". Her sign was the rabit. The rabit and eggs were (and still are in some regions of this world) signs for life and vitality. The christian religion just mixed it up a little. For the pagan germans it was the new beginning for the cycle of life.

i have some nonchristian friends who enjoy celebrating easter as a holiday,so i am thinking people's imagination can create all sortsa truely unconnected mythos too any type of "holy day"
